"THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN PORTLAND!"

"I was down in Portland on business, but my treat to myself was to stay at the White House B&B... my first time and boy, was it incredible! I HIGHLY recommend staying there and should I go back to Portland – whether for business or pleasure, there is no question that I will definitely stay there again. Lanning, the owner, truly knows how to provide excellence in service. Steve and Kim, the Managers, were most accommodating and made you feel so welcomed. It was the little details that made it so enjoyable. They served full breakfasts that were out of this world - absolutely delicious and very creative! I especially enjoyed the daily home-baked cookies and decadent chocolates left in the room - a real treat to come home to... and, that is precisely how I felt... like it was my home. The house, itself, is lovingly appointed with all kinds of interesting artifacts and things to look at, not to mention it is situated in one of the highly sought-after areas of Portland. (The homes in the area are lovely older mansions, all exceptionally well kept up.) The neighborhood is primarily residential, yet very convenient to shopping and exploring Portland.
