    i highly recommed others to stay at the bluebird guesthouse. this was my first experience staying in a guest house and it was great! very homey and the other folks were friendly. the room and bathroom were clean and fully stocked. it was nice not having to pay for breakfast each morning too. i will definitely stay here again when i visit portland!

    A pleasant little overnight in Portland, OR

    The Bluebird fits the bill for an 'in and out' overnight in a B&B. Room very comfortable; self help entry, breakfast, etc. an interesting way to run a place for low overhead. Pricey for what it is, I thought. But so many things sold out that particular weekend. Very "Portland" kind of place. Clean, comfortable, funky.

    This is an old house with good bones. The kitchen area is old school and very charming. My room was warm, beautifully painted, nice combination of furnishings, spacious, and the bathroom was lovely. I met one guest and we had a nice exchange. The house was full but guests were respectful to honor the quiet peace and calm guests experience here. It was a sweet experience for me. It was a very nice exception to the isolation I have experienced in hotel. Priced well.

    I stayed in the R. Carver room while I stayed at the guesthouse. The guesthouse is not a traditional bed and breakfast. There is a continental breakfast served in the morning with freshly ground coffee, bagels and muffins. I only saw staff once. There isn't someone there to entertain you, which I prefer, so if you are looking for a traditional bed and breakfast, keep that in mind. For the price, it is definitely worth it. It's a clean place to stay that is inexpensive. There are a few bathrooms in the house that are shared by all the guests, and there was never a problem with waiting to use one. It seemed that I was the only one who used the bathroom located next to the Raymond Carver while I was staying there. So, it seems like they are spread out enough where guests hardly notice that they are sharing a bathroom. It was a very tiny room, but perfect for a cozy sleep while saving money and traveling alone. The coffee and muffins were fresh. I have stayed there twice and I would stay there again.

    Excellent hideaway right on Division Street

    The house was quaint and had nice touches like a guitar in the living room. I never even saw another guest except for the next morning at breakfast. Quiet, interesting, authentic furniture. Bed was clean and comfortable. A gem.
