This was a quiet little weekend get away spot. The room was extremely quiet. Others I ate breakfast with also commented on how quiet the house was. Very beautiful 100 year old home with lots of character and beautiful landscaping. The hosts were extreme friendly and once they greeted you, left you alone unless you needed anything. Oh, one more thing, the bed was awesome. Slept great! I will be going back.

We stayed for a weekend, Friday and Saturday and left on Sunday. We loved the house and decor. Our hosts were attentive but not intrusive, and the breakfasts were yummy. We liked eating with the other guests and met some interesting people. Our room, the River Suite, had a fabulous view of the Columbia river and was very cozy. The bed was great, and the bathroom was large and spotless. There were amenities, such as spa bathrobes, shampoo and conditioners, hair dryer, hand lotion and nice magazines to read. The location is great. You can park your car and walk to dining and sight seeing easily.

The owners of the Rose River Inn went well out of their way to make sure we felt welcomed. The house was a joy to see and be in, the other guests were laughing and talking, having fun. Our room was a delight, the garden with roses exquisite, the walk to downtown easy and along the Columbia River fun and refreshing. Breakfast next day was delicious, served as if we were a royalty. One great house and owners. Will do again, when coming back with a longer stay. Thank-you so much for being there for us. Bobbie Kinkead

We spent three nights here and would come back in a heartbeat. The food was delicious and plentiful, you did not leave the table hungry. Beds very comfortable. Walking distance to town.

We recently enjoyed a couple of nights in Astoria and stayed at the Rose River Inn. It's a beautiful home tastefully furnished with antiques. The clean rooms had all the amenities and a very comfortable bed with a convenient sitting area for reading. We enjoyed the free WiFi also. The hosts were delightful! The breakfasts were delicious! The outside garden is well tended and says "welcome" to our home.

Great place to stay. Centrally located - easy walk to downtown and tourist sites and shopping. Room had a good view of the Columbia River where we could see the cruise ships coming and going. A+ breakfast! In fact my partner who is 89 said it was the best he's ever had and he's eaten a lot of breakfasts on the road! He's so old he was in the Northwest with Lewis & Clark! Bill & Deanna

We chose to stay in the inspiration suite, which was quite lovely. The two greatest features of the room were the beautiful claw foot tub and the extremely comfortable bed. We both agreed that we had the best night of sleep in quite a while. The home is beautiful and in a terrific location- everything is literally within walking distance. The food was just okay, but we would be willing to stay again. I only wish the owners had been more talkative, but they were friendly. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

We stayed for two nights, a recommendation from friends who were also in town Fort George's Festival of the Dark Arts (February 2015), in the Inspiration Suite. In total our group occupied three of the five rooms in the house and it was great to be able to have breakfast as a group in the morning. Excellent food and a filling way to start a day of beer drinking. Pam and David are wonderful hosts with the added bonus for us of also being craft beer lovers. In fact, Pam was one of the first in the line the morning of the festival! I look forward to staying with them the next time I need overnight accommodations in Astoria.

My husband & I stayed at this same B&B 17 yrs ago and had a good time, this was under the original owners. This time with David and Pam the stay was great!!! They both made us feel very welcome and the room was so clean and comfortable, The brunch was wonderful and as we were checking out the next morning, we found our truck battery was dead, Pam was so helpful, she went and got her car and jumped our truck so we could be on our way. David and Pam were so gracious and helpful, and of course their little Penny Lane aka ( little dog ) was sooooo sweet!! The gardens there are beautiful and the view from their dining room window is beautiful also. We felt right at home as soon as we entered their B&B!! Thank you for everything David and Pam!! :) We both highly recommend their lovely B&B for anyone who wants to be pampered and fed with great food!!
