Stamford Village Bed and Breakfast

This B&B is absolutely perfect. Wonderful Host and Hostess, Valarie and George Rowe. So friendly, made you feel so at home and like visiting friends. Beautifully appointed rooms. Cozy details, like bathrobes and just about anything you could use it is there at your fingertips if not they would find it for you. Fantastic breakfast, home made and served with warm, friendly, smiling faces. Valarie and George were very informative, gave us great advice and named wonderful places to go for dinner. Made us feel like a part of their home for sure and we also had great visiting time with them as well, like old friends. We have been there before and just this past weekend (4 nights) and we will be back again. More than a five star rating for sure.

george and valerie were wonderful hosts breakfast was gourmet quality in every sense the inn was very clean and comfortable with a good location midway between the falls and niagara-on-the-lake local wineries were nearby and next time we plan to visit in the summer where we can "unwind" in the backyard swimming pool after sightseeing highly recommended

My boyfriend and I just got back from a two day/one night trip to Niagara Falls. We both agree we made a good choice in staying at the Stamford Village Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts Valerie and George were both very welcoming and had some very helpful advice in regards to parking, dining, and economical packages for visiting all of the attractions. We stayed in the Niagara room, which is under represented in its photographs. The room was very spacious, clean, and welcoming. We definitely enjoyed the jet tub after a long day of sight-seeing! Our breakfast choices in the morning we expansive, and everything was delicious (mmmm... Eggs Benedict)!!! The location of this B&B is just perfect! It's a short drive to the main attraction, the Falls, and it's also not far from Niagara-On-The-Lake. We had a wonderful time, and would highly recommend the Stamford Village Bed and Breakfast!

The hosts, George and Val were the best. Kind, congenial and warm, made us feel like we were family. Their home reminded us so much of the old farmhouse where my grandparents lived. Very much like country in the middle of the city! Outstanding on all counts.

My husband and I and our seven month old daughter, stayed at the Stamford Village B&B for two nights on the August Civic long weekend. We stayed in the Niagara Room which is located on the second floor. The room was very spacious with a comfortable king size bed and a window overlooking a beautiful view of the pool in the perfectly landscaped backyard. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and very filling and it changes every day. The hosts George and Valerie are very friendly and make you feel like you are part of their family. Valerie even brought us some chocolate dipped strawberries while we were relaxing by the pool, they were delicious, thanks Valerie! They are also very knowledgeable of the area and will be happy to give you any ideas of what to do and also have discount coupons for area attractions and wineries. If you appreciate arts and crafts, don’t forget to visit Valerie’s shop at the front of the house, we bought some beautiful pieces. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely be back again. We arrived pretty late and very tired but on arrival the welcome by George and Val made us forget that. Is it was like home from home . Were told to go and get settled in, formalities came later. Rooms were great , plenty space and fine decor. We came down before bed and and had coffee with George and Val and we got a rundown on things to do and places to see other than Niagara Falls. Had best nights sleep since arrival in Canada and the shower really woke up the body. The following morning we were treated to a big breakfast table of local produce with a main dish cooked by Val -breakfast menu changes regularly A great start to the day. The pool was a welcome after a days sight seeing and our suite had advantage of Jacuzzi as well. Cannot fault this B&B George , Val Thank you David & Mala Irving UK

George and Valerie were gracious hosts and the breakfast was outstanding. Enjoyed the pool after a long hot day. I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed 2 nights for our first visit to the falls. Stamford Village B&B is perfectly located a bit north of the congested falls area, with easy access to a free parking lot at a PeopleMover station on the parkway. On George's recommendation, we did use the PeopleMover, but also drove the full length of the parkway to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake and Old Fort Erie. The B&B itself is comfortable, clean and welcoming. Our room, the Chippewa, had a walk-in shower and a terrific queen bed. Even though on the front of the house, there was no street noise. George and Valerie were wonderful hosts -- and cooks! The weather was not nice enough for swimming, but the pool is good-sized and set in a beautiful garden. All in all, one of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed in.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a stay at Stamford Village Bed & Breakfast. We hadn’t read any reviews as this was a spur of the moment week-end getaway. However, we were not disappointed and it was a fortunate choice, indeed. George and Val did all they could to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We came away with the most fascinating and relaxing experience. You couldn't ask for a nicer place and two more congenial hosts. Our room was immaculate and spacious. The pool and surroundings were very relaxing after a long day of wine and garden tours and way beyond our expectations. The breakfast was to die for with a large variety of fruit cocktails and juices, cereals, fresh baked scones, eggs benedict on tasty English muffins and Canadian back bacon. George and Valerie have a lovely home and are gracious hosts. They provided us with many money saving tips for visiting the Falls. They served delicious breakfasts and were truly wonderful folks. Our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable.

My daughter and her family treated us to the B&B Smartbox 1 night stay, we added the 2nd night and were so very thankful we did. The Niagara Room was fantastic - in keeping with the time period of the home, it was warm and welcoming with the beautiful fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and large sofa to relax on. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the linens cosy. There were plenty of extra towels, etc. Everywhere we looked, there was a decorative craft or artwork which added to the homey feeling. The common area was super and relaxing. Our homemade breakfasts were unbelievably good - lots of wonderful fruit, home baking and a luxurious main course. Our hosts, Valerie and George walked a fine line, beautifully, allowing privacy on the one hand and social conversation on the other as appropriate. They provided tourism ideas and directions as required. Cold drinks and coffee were at our disposal. As well, there were always cookies available. This is a lovely place with comfortable rooms, nice amenities such as robes and welcoming owners who know the area and local attractions. The breakfast was excellent, no processed foods. it is very clean and, for the area, is a good value. I highly recommend it. We plan on returning.

We stayed for 3 days, 2 nights to celebrate a birthday and anniversary. Have been to the Niagara area many times before, but this was our best experience by far. Breakfast was the best part of our day. Fantastic food and very hospitable hosts. Thanks a Million Val and George.

We stayed in the Niagara Room for two nights and it was absolutely wonderful! The room was nicely decorated, very clean and included nice little touches, like a set of wine glasses. The Jacuzzi was awesome, we really enjoyed it! The room had a cozy fireplace that we put to good use. Valerie and George are wonderful Innkeepers! They were very welcoming and friendly. We very much enjoyed talking to them. The breakfast was delicious! I haven't had a big breakfast like that since my Grandma was alive! Overall, this is a fabulous place to stay, where the rooms are cozy, the people are friendly and the food is delicious! We will most definitely be coming back again (perhaps with some friends) and I highly recommend this B&B to anyone!

We stayed for three lovely days at this beautiful place. Very lovely people who made sure we had everything we could possibly have wanted. The swimming pool was chilly but it is almost fall and I still enjoyed a brisk couple of laps. The food was well planned according to likes and dislikes. Val and George are the kind of people we would like to have as good friends.

We enjoyed the Niagara Suite for our anniversary stay at Stamford Village B&B - king size bed, sitting area with fireplace, 2-person jacuzzi, separate toilet/sink room... it was great! Loved the guest living room - with coffee & tea & cold beverages always available. Also enjoyed sitting out by the pool enjoying the large back yard. Too bad it wasn't warm enough for a swim! George & Valerie were great hosts and the food at breakfast was DELICIOUS!

Stayed for three days/two nights over Labor Day weekend 2011 in the Niagara Room. George and Val made us feel welcome the moment we stepped into the house! Spacious sitting room and dining area, beautiful backyard and pool, and awesome homemade breakfasts both mornings! And the Niagara Room was exceptional. It was clean, comfortable, and with a two-person jacuzzi steps away from the bed, life doesn't get much better! My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in this old, but gorgeous house. George and Valerie made everything possible to us as guests to feel relaxed and comfortable in home-like environment. Clean and cozy rooms equipped with everything you need, nice patio and pool, a lot of privacy, very good and healthy breakfast. My wife and I were celebrating our 39th anniversary and stayed at Val and George's home for 2 days. We found that our hosts were very hospitable and friendly, the room was very clean and well appointed and the food prepared for us was nicely presented and delicious. Their home is well kept and beautiful. We highly recommend a stay at this Bed & Breakfast.

We had an excellent time at the Stamford Village B&B -- George and Val were wonderful hosts. The food was delicious, we were granted 100% privacy, and the rooms were extremely clean, well-maintained, and cozy. The "common" area was also very inviting and provided accessibility to a swimming pool, fireplace, music, and lots of beverages and snacks. If you're in the Niagara Falls (or Niagara on the Lake) area, this B&B will not disappoint.

My wife and I enjoyed two fun filled days in the niagara area in early September, riding bicycles, running and walking the niagara gorge trails and being well cared for by George and Val. Our gracious hosts loaned us a couple of "crusier" bikes and provided us with information for the area and passes to some local wineries. We spent the entire day exploring and enjoying the area by bicycle before returning to the B&B pleasantly exhausted to enjoy the swimming pool and spacious backyard. Our hosts restored our energy levels with appetizers/snacks and fun conversation as we sipped red wine purchased during the day of wine touring. We were treated like family and truly enjoyed sharing stories with our hosts who show a genuine interest in making your stay with them enjoyable. The room we had for the night was very clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and more than we could eat (and we cyclists can eat!). Our parting meal powered us through most of the day which we spent walking and running trails in the Niagara gorge before playing tourist at the Falls. George and Val were full of ideas for us to get the most of a short visit to area. Highly recommended as a base for active folk who want to explore the Niagara area. Vic and Carolyn

My partner and I have absolutely no complaints about Stamford Village B&B. Despite it being the first time either of us have stayed in a B&B (we have however stayed a many lodges & hotels around the globe), not only did it meet - but it surpassed our expectations. First of all, George and Val are wonderful hosts. It kind of felt like we were staying with long lost relatives or family friends, that's how welcome you feel. I also thought that rooms were very well designed, not only were they were spacious and clean but if you were feeling 'anti-social' you would feel quite comfortable having a drink or some time-out in your room. They were 'homely' in a good way i.e., they didn't feel old, musty and were not at all cluttered George's cooked breakfast was delicious, and I have not yet tasted one of Val's scones (she gave us four for the road) but they also look very good. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending this place and was a little disappointed we were not able to stay on another night. We spent most of the time we were in Niagara at Niagara-on-the-lake, which is only a short drive away. So while the Stamford may not be 'on the lake', I'm not sure that it really mattered at all. Provided I had a car (which we did), I would much rather stay with them ast the Stamford. A+ Tess & Ed

Perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Niagara Region. Clean, cozy, modern and large bedroom in a private section of the main house - a real home - and not a showroom as some b&B tend to be. Beautiful backyard with lots of trees and a nice swimming pool. George and Val were most gracious and helpful and "not complicated". The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety from day to day. Close to everything and yet in a quiet neibourhood. I would definitly go back.

We have been to many B & B's, this one stands out as 1 of the best we've had the pleasure to stumble upon. The rooms are very private, spacious and clean. The gardens and especially the pool are gorgeous. It was so nice to go for a swim in the pool after my run. Breakfast was divine and the Innkeepers charming. This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and our time there was outstanding. George and Valerie were "outstanding". They made us feel at home and made our stay extremely relaxing and enjoyable! Keep up the excellent work!!

The most gracious and helpful hosts, cozy and clean rooms, beautiful and private patio and, a pool with fountain, too! First Class Breakfast! Surprisingly close to Niagara Falls, scenic wineries and Niagara on the Lake. Hosts: George knows all the places to go and, if you need a gift for someone Val's office/shoppe has lovely goods with an elegant flare. My husband and I hope to visit again and again. Great for honeymooners too-lovely private suit upstairs. Private entry! "Loved It!"

My husband and I had never been to the Niagara Falls area before, so we were a little trepidacious about the location of our room from the attractions of the area. We needn’t have worried. The Stamford is only a short drive from the Falls. Val and George are so hospitable! They made you feel warm and welcome from the moment you walked in the door. My husband like that the rooms had a separate entrance from the main house, so if you are not back by a certain time you will not be intruding. The beautifully land scalped pool was a perfect place to unwind. The rooms are clean and quiet, breakfast was amazing, and as a bonus they have a lovely boutique full of unique handcrafted souvenirs. I can’t stop telling my friends and family what a wonderful time we had there.

Our yearly wine tour of the Niagara area always includes a stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. Extremely clean and well maintained Breakfast is always delicious excellent cooking and baking, all homemade and fresh. The Niagara room is always wonderful. My husband and I recently traveled to Niagara Falls to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at Stamford Village B&B in the Chippewa Room. I can't say enough about our experience there. My first impression was how incredibly clean and organized the place was. It was "homey" and we immediately felt comfortable there. George and Valerie were such nice people. They made us feel so welcome. It felt like we had known them already. There was a beautiful pool area. Breakfast was delicious! Fresh peaches and stuffed French toast. Conveniently located between the touristy part of the Falls and Niagara on the Lake. It was our first stay at a B&B and we really enjoyed it! We will definitely go back to Stamford Village if we ever travel to Niagara Falls again.

Val and George are gracious and experienced B&B hosts and we so enjoyed our 3 night stay in Stamford Village and the Niagara area (July 2010). Their lovely century home includes a separate entrance and use of a beautifully furnished garden room and dining area, pool, patio and garden, and rooms are comfortable and cozy. Breakfasts were amazing and delicious, offering variety and choices (eggs presented in a multitude of ways), including home-baked scones and muffins and more. We also enjoyed relaxing chats with Val and George, who were very welcoming and easily shared information about the area. We would definitely recommend their B&B and will stay here in the future. We stayed one night in July 2010 and found the nicest room with the nicest owners and the most wonderful breakfast. Stamford Village Bed and Breakfast ist a fantastic place to stay and we hope to return. There are so many little things that make you feel at home - we can't put all of them down here.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay with George and Valerie. Our room was very comfortable, our hosts couldn't have made us feel more welcome and breakfast was top notch! This was my husband's first experience at a B & B - he can't wait to go back.

We wanted a quick getaway from the city. We have stayed at many different B&Bs over the years but this one will definitely stand out as the best. George and Val are very warm people and you can tell that they genuinely enjoy sharing their home with people. We immediately felt this on arrival which allowed us to relax completely. The Niagara room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Breakfast was scones (which were so good we took the recipe) and eggs benedict along with an assortment of cereals and yogurts. In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were only sorry we could not stay longer (due to family commitments). We will definitely go back.

George and Valerie are the perfect hosts - they are welcoming and warm hearted and can't do enough for you. Their B&B has loads of charm. The home-cooked breakfast was outstanding. The location is convenient to all the amenities in Niagara Falls and surrounding area. We highly recommend this B&B.

Val and George were gracious hosts, and the Stamford Village B&B will certainly see our return. A pick up from the train station, and drop off to the bus depot made our stay all the more convenient and stress-free. The breakfast was delicious, and prepared specifically to cater to me and my partner's particular dietary restrictions. The Niagara room was cozy and the en suite jacuzzi a very nice touch. The location is about 10 min ride away from downtown on the People Mover, or a nice senic 25 min bike ride. Next time we will be bringing our bikes for sure!

The Chippawa Room was everything we thought it would be, actually it was more, simply outstanding. George and Valerie are wonderful folks, who are very interested in their guests and provide a very pleasing atmosphere. The conversation was great, the food simply glorious. My wife and I will return, if you are reading this, you should too.

Hosts Valerie & George were most accommodating. Breakfast was a delight with serveral options. Home baking was excellent. Rooms very clean and beautifullly decorated to the century home era. Would highly recommend. Hosts were most knowlegable of the area and attractions.

The warmth of the accommodations and surroundings were only exceeded by George and Valerie who make your stay an extremely pleasant one.

We love this place, and the 2 people that live there. Everything was perfect, they make you feel very at home. The place has a very warm feeling with excellent cooking and baking, all homemade and fresh. It is just wonderful, so don't second guess or look any further you've found your spot.

The Queenston Room was very clean and comfortable. We felt like the first people in the room. Even the ensuite sparkled. Lots of space to put our things. And the food served was just excellent in both taste and presentation. Thank you George and Valerie. J&A

What a lovely old home, hidden away from the heavy traffic, yet only a few minutes from the Niagara Parkway and convenient to the famous Niagara wine tours. The modern guest rooms and garden room have been tastefully added to the 200 year old home bringing the old and the new together to ensure a cozy yet comfortable setting. Valerie and George were delightful hosts, making us feel like family as they ensured our comfort and enjoyment. The breakfasts included something for every taste and lots of it. Our future trips to Niagara Falls will certainly include a visit to this lovely old home.

The Niagara room was wonderful, spacious, comfortable and the fireplace was welcome on cool evenings. Convenient for all Niagara attractions. Hosts George and Valerie were very pleasant and accomodating.

Fantastic stay, we were made very welcome, great hosts and outstanding breakfast. Chippawa Room needs more draw storage and being from the UK, we were surprised that we had to make the bed each day.
