"As soon as my girlfriend and I walked up the steps and onto the front porch of this beautifully maintained 3-story Victorian it felt as if we were visiting family. We were looking for something cozy and charming for a romantic New Years Eve weekend and serendiptously found a gem! We stayed on the 3rd floor, front room #7 with two views looking east towards the beach and southwest over the rooftops of old Ocean City and the bay. We had a complimentary bottle of Champagne waiting in the fridge along with two small bags of chocolates, one of many nice touches we experienced. The room was small, cozy and clean with a private bath. Perfect for two people. The bed was comfortable and there was a built-in bench in the wall beneath the front window with cushions and throw pillows to sit on with two small bookshelves on each side filled with assorted paperbacks. A bench at the foot of the bed included extra blankets and was hand painted with surfing folk art. There is also a private entrance accessible by an outside back stairway for rooms on the 3rd floor with available parking space at the foot of the stairs which was convenient. The owners Brian and Jo are outgoing, friendly, great cooks and hosts! Breakfast was a definite highlight! Dining is in a beautiful sun room. There is a hot tub on the 2nd floor deck with a view and terry cloth robes are provided. It was especially nice being there during the holiday season. The whole place was decked out in festive ornaments and knick-knacks and a large Christmas tree complete with trimmings.
