    Fantastic weekend!

    My wife and I decided to get out of Charlotte for the weekend to cap off our celebration of our 24th wedding anniversary. I found out about Oak Hill just from the on-line Trip Adviser site. From our arrival Friday afternoon to our departure both Deb and Shell provided exquisite service in every area to make our stay comfortable! They have a unique gift of working together to bring you a relaxing atmosphere, fine dining and a true knowledge of every possible thing you would like to experience in the area. Deb and Shell you have truly set the bar a lot higher when you compare Oak Hill with establishments in the area!! We'll be back. David Hutchings

    Oak Hill was probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in. Deb and Shell are warm and welcoming, amenities are excellent and Deb is a fabulous cook. The delicious muffins to go every morning were my favourite along with the fresh fruit juice - to say nothing of the warm chocolate chip cookies for a mid day or late night snack!. Marlene

    Wonderful and Peacefull getaway

    We planned a trip to Asheville and we decided for the first time to stay at a Bed and Breakfast. We ended up choosing Oak Hill on Love Lane Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! For us it was very special to sit down in the morning for a delicious breakfast at a very well set table. It was a wonder change of pace from our normal cup of coffee and cereal before running out the door to get the kids to school. But what really made our stay that this antique Victorian setting was the attention to details from the hosts, Dave and Shell. Anything you can possibly think of to ask, they can answer or more than willing to find the answer. We are looking forward to our next visit to Asheville and the mountains. We already know that we plan to return to Oak Hill.

    The Perfect B & B!

    Wow, what a weekend! Our son graduated with a Master's from WCU and proposed to his girlfriend all on the same night! Oak Hill provided the perfect place to land after a very eventful day. Deb and Shell were the best! They were attentive to our every need and made the weekend so special for all of us. We were able to gather on the porch that evening with our son, his fiancee and her family for a glass of wine and snacks. Deb and Shell had everything set up for us when we arrived that evening. Breakfast was outstanding as well as the muffins they bag for you for your trip home! We could not have picked a better place for this special occasion. We will be recommending Oak Hill to all of our family and friends and hope to return soon ourselves!

    We only stayed one night but the B&B was excellent from beginning to end. We will definitely come back again. Shell and Barb were very gracious hosts who worked very hard to please the guests.

    The best B&B we have ever stayed at

    We stayed at the Oak Hill for three nights. The 3 course breakfasts were amazing!!! Deb is great about working around food allergies - which a lot of B&B owners are not. The house and grounds are lovely. Shell and Deb are great about giving directions and recommendations for things in the area and surrounding areas as well. They called ahead to the restaurants we wanted to eat at and made sure there was a table waiting for us. They are very warm and inviting but also respectful of personal space and privacy. We will definitely go back there again.

    The Best First B&B Experience

    Where do I begin?...My wife and I were looking for something different to do for our 2nd anniversary, but weren't sure about what. I randomly suggested something in the mountains of NC and maybe doing a B&B, which we had never done before. My wife was the one who found Oak Hill and saw it's stellar reviews, this being extremely influential in our decision to make our arrangements here. It turned out to be one of the best choices we have made as man and wife so far. Immediately upon arrival, it felt like we had come to the warmest, safest, and coziest home there is in America. It felt like Christmas in March. We walked in and took a tour of all the most beautiful and picturesque rooms the home had to offer. We stayed in the Bess Ray-Howell room and were in awe. I wanted to stay forever. Deb and Shell were so very sweet and wonderful. They knew everything about everything; I felt like I could ask how to get to the moon. Now, our anniversary falls right in between the offseason and when it begins, so we were limited on what we could fill our day with. However, they made it seem like we had arrived at the perfect time and could have done just about anything. And the food was scrumptious and delicious. They, also, made extra specific accommodations for my wife because of her special diet needs. I, nor my wife, would have changed a thing and could not have wished for a better experience. Thank you Oak Hill, Deb and Shell, for such a great and wonderful time and for making our anniversary impeccable. We will most definitely be going back.
