Red Rocker Inn

Tucked away in a secluded wing in the quiet of the third floor, the Attic is the largest room in the Inn. At the foot of the stately king bed are a lovely marble fireplace and cozy chaise lounge for reading and napping. Skylights, a window seat with mounds of comfy pillows,and unobstructed views of the gardens and mountains add to the charm. The Attic's private bath offers a modern double garden soaking tub and huge walk-in shower with multiple heads. This is the perfect honeymoon location.

Elegant and Private! Brightly lit with skylights and lots of windows, the Garrett is located up in the quiet of the Inn's third floor. In the original house, it was the summer sleeping porch. The romantically draped king bed faces a large fireplace, framed by a cozy settee, old fashion dressing table and antique armoire. The spacious private bath has both an antique claw foot tub and convenient step-in shower. The love seat folds open to reveal a single bed for a third person.

One of only three rooms located on the third floor, the Blue Ridge room is both private and peaceful. With its beautiful king bed clothed in deep white damask comforter and white quilted bedding, and banked by five blue toile-accented windows, it is the perfect spot for quiet rest, conversation and intimacy. Two comfortable chairs face the fireplace for warm relaxation and reading. The large private bath has a separate commode and step-in shower, and best of all, a platform whirlpool tub for soaking. This lovely room is decorated in warm gray and blue toile with an elegant mountain theme.

The Anniversary room, located on the second floor, is convenient to the parlor via the formal staircase. As romantic as its name implies, this front corner bedroom has a lovely four poster canopy wrought-iron queen bed draped in airy fabric. The antique footed bathtub next to the bed is placed on a curtained platform. Also adjacent is the private bath and separate tiled shower.

Savannah, on the second floor just upstairs from the parlor, is one of the largest bedrooms in the Inn. It was originally the master bedroom when the Inn was a private residence. The fabric draped king bed is opposite a large marble fireplace, with one of the house's original carved mantles still intact. Next to the hearth is a cozy reading lounge. In view of both the bed and fireplace is an antique claw foot tub, also original to the house. Savannah's private bath includes a tiled step-in shower. A large triple dresser and armoir complete the furnishings. You'll delight in the Southern charm this comfortable room offers

The Appalachian room is at the top of the front formal staircase on the second floor. Furnished with a pair of queen beds dressed in pretty blue and white quilts and comfy reading chair, the spacious, cheerful bedroom has an attached private bath with traditional tub/shower combination. Located at the front corner of the house, its windows offer a view of both the Inn's gardens and the peaceful little town of Black Mountain.

Three Mountaineers, so named for the wooden hand-carved mountain men mounted on its bedroom walls, is centrally located on the second floor of the Inn. The spacious well-furnished bedroom has a king bed, cozy reading chair and attached private bath. The Three Mountaineers is decorated with local mountain charm with your comfort in mind. You'll feel pampered and relaxed in the large bathroom with a whirlpool tub/shower combination.

The Tarheel room, decorated with beautiful red floral and black gingham quilted bedding, is privately located in the back corner of the second floor of the Inn. The queen bed sits across from a comfy chair great for reading. A mirrored red wardrobe reflects the morning light from the bank of windows dressed in black and beige toile. The spacious private bath has a whirlpool tub/shower combination. French Country accents lend the room an old world charm

The Dogwood room, just up the staircase on the second floor, is convenient to all sections of the Inn. The bright and cheerful bedroom has a white scrolled iron and brass queen bed dressed in blue, pink, and yellow. The adjoining private bath, unusually large and old fashioned, is complete with a combination claw foot tub/shower and a raised-tank toilet. You'll relax in the comfy wingback chair and feel like you've stepped back in time.

Located on the quiet second floor of the Inn, the very spacious Azalea holds a lovely antique dressing table and matching headboard for the queen bed. Its adjoining alcove with a large bank of windows has both a well lighted desk and a chaise lounge for reading. The roomy private bath contains a tiled tub/shower. The Azalea room features a pull-out couch which can accomodate one additional person.

As the name implies, the Pinehurst room on the second floor is decorated with classic and clever golf-themed accents. The spacious bedroom has a beautiful iron king size bed which is made with a soothing plaid and floral log cabin quilt and pillows. The roomy private bath features traditional tub/shower combination. Large windows for light and a soft reading chair add to the comfort of this room.

Primrose room, quietly hidden at the end of the hallway on the second floor, is the most intimate and romantic room in the Inn. A seductively draped two-person whirlpool tub is set adjacent to the queen bed. The private commode, pedestal sink, and large mirrored armoir add to the charm of this romantic setting. This is the perfect spot for getting reacquainted with your loved one. *note* This room does not have a shower.

The Music room is conveniently located on the first floor. You'll think of old-world classical sophistication when you enter this room. This popular bedroom is decorated with music score wall paper, classical music accents, and beautiful antique music art. The beautiful king size bed boasts an elaborate iron headboard and is softly draped in coordinating fabric. Across from the bed is the pedestal vanity sink and lovely antique armoir. You may even be inspired to sing in the step-in shower!

Located on the first floor of the Inn, Molly Bear is convenient to the parking lot and public areas of the house. The four- post queen bed is softly canopied and dressed in pretty quilts and is adjacent to a well lighted alcove. Here, beneath a large bank of windows, are both a reading couch and a handy built-in desk or vanity. The attached private bath has a tiled tub/shower with glass-block window. The alcove couch folds open to a twin bed that can sleep one additional person. Whimsical teddy bear accents will bring a smile to your face.

A quaint room with a queen sized-bed, tucked into a corner of the first floor, the Preacher is reminiscent of a peaceful country church. Stained glass accents the windows. Church inspired accessories and country quilts decorate the room. The private bath, known as "The Confessional," features a step-in shower.

Evoking the rustic feel of a mountain cabin, thePisgah room sits in a quiet corner of the second floor of the house. This cozy room features a beautiful antique double bed, layered in masculine comfort with quilts and plenty of pillows. An antique mirrored dresser and comfortable leather reading chair round out the furnishings. Moose and bear decor abounds in this quaint room. Attached is a private bath complete with tub/shower.

Named for the beautiful mountain range which watches over the town of Black Mountain, Seven Sisters is situated conveniently at a cozy corner of the first floor. It is a comfy room with an exquisite brass double bed. Attached is a private bath complete with tub/shower. Comfy reading chair and homey log cabin and Irish chain quilts complete the country atmosphere.
