    Desde el momento en que llega se sienta en casa de los libro & global. Zoe, el basset hound, usualmente comienza el proceso de bienvenida con besos en su camino en la puerta. Despiertan con el olor de panes caseros y mufines, el aroma de café fresco-terreno y las cepas suaves de la música clásica, wafting a través del aire. Un corto paseo de la puente cubierto de Jay y el agujero de la natación, el libro & global es sólo 20 minutos de Lake Placid y a 10 minutos de la montaña de Whiteface. Los senderos del Valle de Keene & Keene son un 10 a 15 minutos en coche. Y ahora, el libro & global ofrece acceso inalámbrico y de alta velocidad.

    A wonderful place

    I have been returning to this Inn for years and have always left more then satisfied. The breakfast is always delicious and one couldn't ask for better hosts.

    These hosts mastered the art of hospitality

    The hosts carefully crafted this Bed and Breakfast not only with the literary theme but in the grace in which they tended to their guests. The time in which they socialized with us was balanced perfectly with our private time. An entire section of their house is reserved for guests--plenty of interesting board games, videos, and the obvious books. This book theme was interwoven into their B & B not only on the shelves which contain a wide variety books but also on their wall paper, garbage cans, bookmarks, mugs, and soaps. The hosts anticipated the needs of their guests. A pad of paper was thoughtfully positioned near the phone with a pen. A plastic bag was in the bathroom, with a label asking the guests to use the bag to take home their open shampoo bottles and soap. The dining room welcomed us with tea (or coffee), a basket of brochures, local maps, flowers, and chocolates. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. The hosts set up a table setting for our one-year-old baby, with a baby spoon, cup, and bowl. The rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. This B & B is a short scenic drive away from Lake Placid. We HIGHLY recommend this to anyone visiting the High Peaks region.

    We spent a night at this charming inn, and were delighted with the F. Scott Fitzgerald room, the yummy breakfast and the gracious hosts, including Zoe the basset hound. If you're a book lover you'll be enchanted with the literary ambience.
