In addition to a very comfortable room and very friendly and helpful hosts, the "Historical" side of the "Spy House" was a surprising and fascinating extra. Just one caveat. Our shower in the Freeman room didn't have any handholds. That could be challenging for someone with any physical or balance issues. The owners, Kara and Steve, are aware of this and are searching for a good solution. Check with them when you book. Still, I highly recommend this well located B & B.

We had a wonderful experience at this BnB! The innkeepers are very attentive and friendly. I loved the location and the atmosphere and the food was amazing. Kara even overheard that we had a food allergy (banana) and she made sure to have a separate fruit bowl that didn't have banana in it! What an experience! Thank you so much!

Beautiful and comfortable accommodation. The Spy Room had spacious bathroom for a couple. The outdoor areas were very inviting for mornings & evenings. The breakfast offerings are versatile & delicious. Service very helpful.

This was the second time I stayed at the Historic Downtown B&B in Albuquerque. I was in town on business. As such, I had to leave early in the morning to make my appointments. Kara & Steve had items laid out and available to me in the kitchen even though I couldn't make the standard breakfast time that they normally serve breakfast. They had fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, scones, juices, coffee, sodas, and water available. I also had a shipment sent to their location for business. They very kindly received that package and placed it in my room for me. Both houses are a perfect blend (for me) between old and new. Original wood floors, antique door handles, and period furniture were successfully mixed with flat screen TVs, high speed WiFi, and key-less door locks (exterior and interior - no keys to lose!). Plus I cannot say enough about the wonderful claw foot and high-backed bath tub. I soaked in it almost every night. I have met Kara and Steve. They are so nice and you can tell they love what they do. They take pride in their properties and spoil their guests with small touches (like M&Ms in the hallways, handcrafted clay mugs, and gorgeous china plates/bowls ready for everyday use). The backyard is a peaceful and beautiful place to be. I plan to book with them for all of my future trips to Albuquerque (even if I go on pleasure)! I literally can't say enough about this property! Go and enjoy!

This must be the grandest B & B in Albuquerque We stayed in the Ivy room in the historic house and it was beautiful, it was a suite with its own private (massive) balcony, the bed was to die for and was very comfortable. We met the owner Steve when we checked in, he was very personable, he showed us round and told us where everything was. He made us feel very welcome. We had access to a big kitchen with a very large fridge that was full of soft drinks and water for our use whilst we were there, there was also lots of little treats dotted around the house, cookies, chocolates and biscuits. We were the only ones to check in on the day we were there so we had the full run of the house which was very nice. Breakfast was a gourmet breakfast with traditional Mexican food we had neither seen or eaten before but it was delicious. The setting in the Famous Spy House was in a beautiful dining room a million miles away from standard american hotels. I Would highly recommend staying In this beautiful B & B if you get the chance, you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I met for an impromtu romantic evening. Accomodations were made for our stay online and over the phone. Everything came together seamlessly. Our hostess was great. We were made to feel welcomed and had a memorable stay.

Amazing place. We were fortunate in being the only guests on the night we stayed so we had the whole of the beautiful house to ourselves. Lovely period property, furnished to the time but with all the modern conveniences. We loved the swing-seat and rocker on the front porch, great for chilling out with a beer. Gorgeous dining room that I wish we had taken greater advantage of. Huge king sized bed and sofa bed that comfortably accommodated our party of 3. the bathrooms very fitted out with roll top baths - again we were not there long enough to take advantage of these. A great breakfast was served next door, which looked equally intriguing and inviting.I would thoroughly recommend this place.

My stay here was very peaceful. I was the only guest at the two homes during my stay here. Lindsey went out of her way to make wonderful breakfast meals although I was a single guest. Lindsey was very friendly and made my visit here a positive experience. I stayed in the Heritage House Secret Garden Room for 2 nights. It was very clean. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I spent a few days in Albuquerque and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Downtown Historic B&B. Lindsay made sure that we had everything we needed and was so gracious. Since we would not be able to be at breakfast every morning she put together a nice continental breakfast for us. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the deck off of our room. The grounds of the inn were nice as well. We would recommend this place to our family and friends and if we come to Albuquerque again we would definitely stay again.

My parents paid for us to stay here for our Anniversary. We had stayed here previously right after we got married on our way to our honeymoon. We love the rooms and the food is amazing! It is the best place to stay in Albuquerque!
