This would have to be the nicest place to stay in Amsterdam. Ruth and Dorine are most helpful and friendly ladies. There was always more food than we could possibly eat (enough for lunch and a light dinner as well as breakfast) fresh flowers, wine and chocolates. The children were a delight (and very quiet) The bed is so comfortable and there was always lots of hot water. Only 15 minutes from the heart of Amsterdam city and a peaceful retreat to come home to. Highly recommended B&B

I would thoroughly recommend this B and B for a couple looking to explore Amsterdam and return to a calm, comfy place to relax. The location is great, walkable to most popular places, and on a main tram line too. The hosts have thought of everything. The food and drink supplies are topped up daily with everything you could ever want for breakfast and a snack and tipple in the evening! This provides accommodation to rival any hotel and the personal touch makes it perfect!

We are a lady couple from Finland and wanted to selebrate the 40th birthday in a special way. We made a decision not to organice a party at home instead of it spend a luxorious week in Amsterdam. This lovely B&B hosted by Ruth and Dorine was excellent choice. We saw millions of tulips in Keukenhof, thousands of lambs in Texel island while tandembicykling 40 km, we enjoyed the Dutch art in van Gogh and Rijksmuseum and found the easy going city very relaxin. When we came back after the exploring trips it was like promised: feeling home. The room was cosy and the bed was excellent and the fridge was full. Thank You very much for making our holiday memorable. We are glad to recommend your WellcomeHome B&B to everyone who wants the holiday to be perfect.

Ruth and Dorine were fantastic and their studio was perfect for a couple. We could not recommend this place more highly. They were very understanding in assisting us when our onward travel arrangements were disrupted by the volcano. Thank you again Ruth and Dorine.

My boyfriend and I spent three nights there and we were very happy. The room seemed very nice, well-groomed in every detail, which gives it a special touch and air-ethnic. Despite not being at the center is perfectly connected, and not take more than 15 minutes to arrive. You can choose the breakfast (there is a fully integrated kitchen cabinet) and is a very independent room. And both (Ruth and Dorine) are very kind. Overall, highly recommended! If we go back to Amsterdam we'll repeat with them, no doubt!! Adela & Carlos

My boyfriend and i enjoyed a great stay at the Welcome Home B&B. All the small thoughtful touches made it special. The place is in a great location with tram and bus access only a few seconds away and two pubs on the corner for easy access as well. The service was great, friendly and polite helping in any way possible! Really enjoyed the stay. Would advice anyone to use this B&B, if we are ever back we will definatley be staying again.

My husband and I stayed at Welcome Home B&B for 3 days. I have to say, it really is like home! The room has all the comforts of home- a comfortable bed, a kitchen, dining space, sitting area, bathroom, toilet, wi-fi, television, fresh flowers, books, magazines and a music collection. The B&B is so cleverly laid out and stylishly designed! Ruth was such a gracious host. We arrived a bit early and the room was not quite ready but Ruth directed us to the cute cafe on the corner for a coffee and a bite to eat while she finished up. She actually came to the cafe to let us know that everything was ready! The refrigerator was stocked so well we were able to eat breakfast at home, take snacks with us and still have more to eat when we arrived at the end of the day. The location of Welcome Home B&B is perfect. Several trams and buses just outside the front door, beautiful Oosterpark is around the corner and many wonderful eateries in the neighborhood. Any tourist in a big, busy city, longs for a peaceful retreat at the end of the day...and Welcome Home B 'n B is exactly that. How often does it happen in a hotel..other guests banging doors, middle of the night conversations in loud voices, plumbing noises, etc etc ? Well, you will have none of those distractions, when you spend time with Welcome Home ! The L-shaped studio gives you the appearance of lots of space...and what attractive surroundings, so innovative and spotless , a cosy nest with a surprise personal message to make you feel at home. Usually I spend the entire day, and half the night, investigating the city I am visiting. In this case, I could've stayed in my gorgeous studio, all day ! In fact, I felt quite guilty that I didn't eat all the goodies, which the girls, Ruth and Dorine had left for me ! In short, a fabulous experience... more value than a hotel, and so much more private.

My friend and i, we made a trip to amsterdam last october 2009. We really enjoyed our stay at that bed & breakfast. We always felt like home. Ruth and Dorine were extremely nice and outgoing. They gave us advices, where we had to go. Our fridge was always full of food and they washed our dishes. (Which was a little bit "embarrassing". We could do this by our own.) The apartment is beautiful. It's in the basement of the house, separated from the space, where Ruth and Dorine live. They furnished it very comfortable. Welcome Home is the perfect name for this very clean, comfortable and convenient B & B. The hostesses, Dorine and Ruth, are charming, knowledgeable, and helpful, even rushing me to the store before closing when my luggage was lost. I felt like I was staying with family. The kitchen unit is a marvel in space engineering. We found it stocked with some of our favorite things for breakfast and snacks. The shower is to be experienced, not just used. I look forward to returning someday.

An excellent location in Amsterdam (one tram from any point of interest). Very well organised and very clean, with extremely warm hospitality! It was a great pleasure being there. It is certainly a great highlight of our vacation. We enjoyed every minute and will certainly come again.

My family (daughter + 2 kids) and I couldn't have stayed in a more welcoming place than the B&B of Dorine and Ruth. What a luxurious, clean, beautifully decorated, lovely and friendly place. I never experienced such a warm hospitality. And what a great starting point for sightseeing Amsterdam. And when you have seen everything in Amsterdam, the trainstation is at 3 minutes distance. The tram is just in front of the door. Another favourable point: no going up several flight of stairs (very steep, everywhere in Amsterdam), but just a few steps down. Don't miss this excellent spot.

This small apartment is so cosy, clean as a crystal, well designed, located in a good area and Ruth and Dorine are nice and friendly ladies, who take care of us perfectly. We couldn't choose a better one. It is more expensive than hostel of course, however you have full privacy, filled fridge, flowers and candels and bottle of wine included :o)) Go ahead :o)

We have been lucky to find this place into the sea of internet. The room is very nice, well furnished and clean. Breakfast was abundant, and different every day. A wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam, easy to get to with the tram stops just a few steps away on the corner. Right across the street from a nice park as well!

I visited Amsterdam with my wife and daughter in April 2009, and stayed in Welcome Home B&B for 4 nights. The basement room was not large and luxurious, yet pratical and clean. TV, internet, audio, shower, closet, toilet are all there, especially there were cooking facilities that we cooked everyday to save some money from expensive restaurants. The hostess was nice and helpful. The Price 95 Euro pro night for 2 adult and 1 child is reasonable. However, I think it is better to take public transportation rather than driving there. The parking fee was terribly expensive that we had to park in the public parking lot after 7 pm(free after that). Hotels in Amsterdam are quite expensive. If you like to stay in the city, I would like to recommend 'Welcome Home'.

These are the words of our 6 years old kid for this B&B. This was our first B&B experience and surely will not be the last. A small but very cute apartment. Very clean. Modern and cleverly decorated. Fridge full of stuff(agreement was for 1 breakfast but we couldn't finish them after 4 days:) Surprises for us and our boy. Not in the very center but tram is a few meters from the B&B. So no transportation problems. And Ruth was really very friendly. It's clearly worth what we paid. We strongly recommend to couples and families with a small kid.

We (two adults and one 3-year old) spent a few nights in Welcome Home B&B recently and would not hesitate in recommending this B&B to others. We received an excellent welcome and Ruth and Dorine were always available to give advise and help with bookings. The B&B is in an excellent location, close to Muiderpoort station and trams. Plenty of restuarants to choose from. Oosterpark great for children. Room very private with no noise pollution! Excellent base well worth recommending!!!

Sandra and I had a wonderful weekend in Welcome Home B&B. The B&B is situated on walking distance of all the hotspots of Amsterdam. Furthermore Welcome Home offers you a fine atmosphere, privacy and luxery. The small "suprise" kitchen is a real asset and convenient if you want to make your own breakfast of cup of tea. What more to say? This is just a very pleasant B&B with a perfect homefeeling personal touch. Regards, Machiel

Ruth and Dorine were outstanding hosts. They perfected the art of hospitality: being available for us when we needed it, always friendly and able to answer our questions but providing 'invisible service' in every other way through the bottle of great wine that was waiting for us, the beautiful flowers, the amazing breakfast and just the clean, homely atmosphere they created. Even though the B&B is close to the city center and public transport is on just outside, inside the B&B it is totally quiet and serene. We liked it so much that we often decided to spend our evenings inside with a glass of wine, sitting on the comfy chairs and chatting into the night. It truly was an experience of 'home away from home'. Oh and not to forget the mattress: great quality and ensuring a fantastic night's rest!

Though the room is a bit dark (and that´s the only negative thing I can tell about the room!) because it´s in the souterrain, it is absolutely comfortable with a little kitchen, a bathroom with a shower (not shared bathroom, like many others!), comfortable beds, a TV and hifi and internet access. It´s perfect for 2 persons who want to prepare breakfast or a meal from time to time. The atmosphere is cosy and I liked the modern and pretty furniture. This B&B is only some minutes away from the Central station which is really a good thing when you have to carry a heavy suitcase. There are also several subways going into the centre (Leidseplein, Rembrandplein etc.). The traffic connection is really good – even at night. I really enjoyed our stay, because it was really like home. Thanks, Ruth and Dorine! We will certainly come back.

My husband and I spent some great days in Welcome Home B&B on our 2nd anniversary. The location is perfect (10 minutes by tram from the city center or a 20 minutes walk). The B&B is close to the Zoo. The conditions are very good - large room with own kitchen, shower with under floor heating (I liked that very much) and let's not forget about the LCD, free internet and even a laptop in the room. When we arrive we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and flowers in the room. Ruth and Dorine are the perfect host - very helpful with the information about the city, weather and places to go. Definitely a place I would return anytime with pleasure.

This B&B was very nice. The Room was spacious, beautiful and quiet. Everything was clean en new. All facilities to cook yourself, and a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Service outstandig: fresh flowers, a personal message, a free bottle of wine, a computer with internetfacilities, a TV, CD, magazines... Amsterdam really was a Welcome Home. Hope to come back very soon. :-)
