We spent the 4th of July weekend at Wine Country Inn. What a nice place. The rooms and beds were so comfortable. The Breakfast was so good! and wine with snacks in the evening. And don't forget that they offer a complimentary van trip to and from local destinations. We booked a tasting tour thru them and all our dinner reservations. When you factor all this into the room price.... WHAT A GREAT DEAL!
Romantic rooms, nice breakfast, free wine and cheese. Cute garden setting, inn keeper and owner are very helpful in planning your day and giving you great recommendations to suit your personal style. A bit expensive but worth it.
Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was clean/relaxing/comfortable, the view was perfect, breakfast/happy hour were great and the service was second to none. I usually travel 40% of the time for work. As a result, I've become somewhat of a hotel snob. I can honestly say The Wine Country Inn exceeded every expectation I had. The wine tour was very informative and fun and the front desk assistance in shipping my wine made my life easy. I look forward to my next trip.
Spent 3 nights here while exploring the wine country of Napa Valley and everything was lovely. Beautiful gardens for enjoying our morning cup of coffee and our evening wine and cheese which was offered free to guests. Breakfast was delicious and nutritious and varied all three mornings we ate. I would definitely stay here again upon returning to Napa
There are so many wonderful things to do and see in the Sonoma area. Finding a reasonably priced place to stay, with exceptional amenities can be an interesting challenge. The Inn at Sonoma exceeded our expectations. We needed a hotel within walking distance of our event and one that offered a relaxing place to unwind afterwards. Fresh cookies, wine, cheese, fruit and the breakfast were the best surprises. This, and the welcoming and helpful staff has made this our new favorite place to stay when visiting the area.
Our stay at the Milliken was superb from the start. White glove treatment with an at-home B&B feel. From greeting to goodbye everything was first class. The grounds are exquisite and the staff is friendly and attentive.
We stayed at the Gaige House for two nights and were very impressed by the service and everything else. The people working there were extremely friendly and helpful and made our stay a memorable experience.
Decor was simple and elegant. Very clean and well kept as I would expect for a newly remodeled inn. Nice touches. French press coffee available throughout day. Aluminum water bottles to take with to avoid trashing multiple plastic bottles. Nice little half bottle of zin to welcome you to the room. Staff was excellent. Stacy immediately printed walking directions to the places we wanted to go. Made nice recommendations for wineries out of the mainstream. Chef very pleasant and accommodating of my early bird mornings coffee. Breakfast was excellent! Didn't even miss the gluten! Tad on the small side, but probably a good idea calorically as we always eat and drink very well throughout the day in Napa Valley.
Here's the same review I posted to yelp: Absolutely loved our stay here. Such a great b&b. No, there isn't a person on staff here at night but I mean, really people, it's a b&b, so it's not uncommon. Besides, if anyone ever needed anything, the owners were a phone call away. We felt totally safe anyway. John, the owner, was so hospitable and informative. In the main house, the Rose room and Blue room have views of the vineyard. We stayed in the Brooke Room of the main house. It was quiet and had views of their backyard and partial of the detached winery retreat rooms. Every room has a hair dryer and iron which is not so common at b&bs, so that was a bonus. We are so glad we were able to make it to their sit-down breakfasts at 9ish. Truly delicious and kept us satiated until lunchtime. If you are expecting diner-sized portions, you'll be disappointed. Portions were more than enough for us though with fruit and their delicious cream sauce to start, followed by their daily breakfast special. One day we had croissants and eggs Benedict, another day we had walnut waffles with a maple syrup and a warm peach topping. Loved chatting with all the other guests. It was like a morning social. We were there for the wineries, but felt so at home at Shady Oaks and could not have been happier with our choice. Thank you, John! Hope to see you again soon! P.S. This place is at such a central location. Can't beat it!
We had a fantastic stay. It was so perfect. Cookies, wine, appetizers, yummy breakfast was a true value. The pool was so refreshing. The building was absolutely beautiful and rooms so cozy! Bernie Marks, Merced CA
The Wine Country Inn was about as an enjoyable low-key stay as I can remember. It isn't luxurious but it is comfortable and fun. The staff were extremely amiable and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding and the property lovely. The room was comfortably appointed and a nice place to relax after a day of wine tasting and shopping. Recommended.
We rented the Bakery Building rooms for a wedding weekend in Yountville. The staff was welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. Our group ranged in age from 16 months to 92 years, and everything was perfect!
I recently stayed at the Wine Country Inn with a friend while traveling to the Napa Valley/CA for the first time. We loved it! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful and had great recommendations for restaurants and activities. We'd like to especially thank Tim for his great service, expertise, and for giving us a bit more "elbow room" with our upgrade to a cottage. If you are traveling to the Napa Valley, you MUST stay at the Wine Country Inn!
The rooms were delightful and the breakfasts excellent. We even got some of the recopies. Our hosts were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We would not hesitate to return for our next visit.
I saw a review that traffic noise was a problem - it was definitely not. This is a wonderful place to stay, a little pricey but I don't think there are any values in Napa. Everyone there was very helpful and it was very quiet. Would go back and highly recommend it. David Held
