We went to Natchez for the first time over the 4th of July weekend. We booked a B and B because we wanted the feel of the Old South. Our expectations were exceeded by the staff, the Southern breakfast and the room. The room was clean and well-stocked, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They knew the area well and made wonderful recommendations for activities, entertainment and dining. We will definitely stay at the Elms again on a future visit to Natchez!

My husband and I stayed here for one night over the Memorial Weekend and we loved it. The house is steeped in history. We stayed in the Drake Room but were lucky enough to visit all of the rooms and they are all beautiful. the breakfast is really good and the attention to detail is excellent. I loved the muffins and generally everything about this place. It's in a good location too, you really can relax here. The staff are all lovely so will defo be back.

Everything about The Elms was just wonderful: the "room" was actually a very luxurious suite; our host and the owner were very helpful in terms of giving us advice on what to do and what to see in Natchez, besides being just genuinely nice folks; the breakfast was lavish, expertly prepared and tasty from start to finish; and the property has just the right atmosphere for Natchez, and is conveniently located within the town. Could not have been better.

If your looking to experience staying in a period home with charm and beautiful grounds then the Elms is for you. You will be greeted by Esther Carpenter a 5th generation owner of the Elms. Esther is a warm generous person who will give you information of her home and of Natchezs. You will also meet Mr. Jerry who will take you to your room and see that your comfortable given refreshments and a tour of the Elms. He is also very helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to eat while visiting. I have saved the best for last and that is an amazing breakfast in the morning with a table set for honored quests. Truly enjoyed our stay.

The Elms is a wonderful home built in 1805 with additions in 1856. The stay also included a tour and history of the ground floor of the mansion. We had a two bedroom suite, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The thick soft robes were a treat on a chilly Sunday morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely go there again.
