This cozy Berkshires bed and breakfast inn provides child and pet-friendly accommodations, and is conveniently located in West Stockbridge, MA.
    Our Berkshires bed and breakfast inn features a large furnished front yard facing the Shaker Mill Inn rock garden, equipped with a cozy fire pit and a gas grill. We will even provide the marshmallows!
    The Berkshires are a wonderful winter get-away too! Shaker Mill Inn is just minutes away from Ski Butternut and often has specials for our skiing guests. Our Clark Room and Honeymoon Suite also have fireplaces for your enjoyment!
    The Catamount Room: This spacious ground floor room features two Queen beds, leather recliner, sleep sofa, private bath, and an outdoor dining area with a great view of the countryside.
    The Queensboro Room: This spacious ground floor room features two Queen beds, sleep sofa, private bath, and a lovely secluded outdoor dining area. This room combines nicely with the Catamount Room through a common doorway to create a lovely Suite-environment for larger family stays.
    The Honeymoon Suite: This generous skylighted ground floor Suite features a stone and brick floor-to-ceiling fireplace, King size bed, large leather sofa, large private bath with shower and a two-person whirlpool jacuzzi.

    The Honeymoon Suite's whirlpool jacuzzi is it's own little get-away. And no... you don't have to be on your honeymoon to stay in this room!
    The Clark Room: An arched hallway leads to this cozy skylighted ground floor room with a raised-hearth fireplace, Queen bed, sleep sofa, and a semi private deck overlooking our front yard.
    The semi-private deck makes for a perfect breakfast spot or an afternoon tea-sipping-book-reading spot!
    The Garden Room: This cozy 2nd floor room features a beautiful wood ceiling, Queen bed, sleep sofa, and a spacious private balcony overlooking our rock garden. This room combines nicely with the Clark Room below via private interior stairway to create a lovely Suite-environment for larger family stays.
    The Tanglewood Room: This charming ground floor room features a Queen bed and sleep sofa in a distinctive room layout with sliding glass doors to a deck area for outdoor dining.
    The Rockwell Room: Antique barn board paneling graces this cozy skylighted room. A Queen bed at one end of the room and a Full sleep-sofa at the other end makes this room ideal for families with children due to its unique layout. Includes a private balcony with table and umbrella.
    The Greylock Suite: This spacious second floor suite features a full kitchen and dining counter. Luxurious living room connects to covered balcony deck – ideal for outdoor dining. Bathroom includes a tub/shower. Separate bedroom has King sized bed.
    Washington Room: This cozy second floor skylighted room features two Queen beds and a large private bathroom complete with both tub and shower.

    Besides a little dog who missed his owner upstairs, our stay was perfect. The room was bright and spacious and breakfast was lovely. The gardens and public spaces were welcoming too! Very kind innkeepers. I have already rebooked.

    A Wonderful getaway!

    We arrived to a fire in the fireplace and some wine ready for our anniversary celebration! We stayed in the honeymoon suite and loved it! What a wonderful cozy room - and everything we needed - breakfast in the refrigerator to fluffly robes in the bathroom, all was taken care of! We try to stay at an Inn each anniversary - and after 33 years, you think you've seen it all, but Shaker Mill is among the best we stayed in - thanks for the great room and wonderful place to celebrate - we didn't want to leave.

    Cozy stay with a modern feel, convenience plus

    If you appreciate privacy then this is a great place for you. There are no common rooms; every room is like its own mini-suite with access to the outside. If you are a pet owner then you would especially appreciate the convenience of this. Because of this the breakfast is a do it yourself quiche that was left in the room the evening prior. That may not work for some people but my wife and I really liked enjoyed this, it was kind of romantic making breakfast with her. Fresh milk and OJ in the fridge. The rooms were reasonably priced and the surrounding area was beautiful. We will have to go back so we can do more of the local activities that we didn’t get to this time around. Walking distance (almost next door) to a nice restaurant/pub. We used the services of their recommended local dog sitting service, it worked out wonderfully.

    great weekend stay

    My husband and I recently stayed at the Shaker Mill Inn for a getaway weekend, and we both could not have been more impressed. The room (more like a small apartment) was extremely well kept, clean & comfortable. The personal touches - from the personally signed welcome letter to the quiche in the fridge - all made for a wonderful stay from start to finish. Bob & Mary were the nicest hosts, and you could tell they really enjoy what they do. We will definitely stay here again.

    A Wonderful Place to Stay!!!!!

    My daughter (age 10) and I went to the Shaker Mill Inn for 3 nights. I had been there in May 2008 with my girlfriend and Bob and Mary couldn't have been more wonderful!!!! The room we stayed in was perfect - very roomy and clean and the breakfast was just delicious!!! There was also a deck to our room and we just loved that!! Bob was very helpful with directions to anyplace we had visited as well as giving us advice as to where to have dinner. This Inn is just a stone's throw from Stockbridge, Lenox and Lee.
