The Whitehaven Hotel was a delightful stay for my wife and myself. The views of the river and surrounding marsh were soothing and the hotel had a home away from home feeling with an elevated charm appeal. The Innkeeper Cindy was gracious at all time and the breakfasts were heavenly! The short car ferry ride across the Wicomico River was fun, quick and FREE. The ferry ride was a nice treat that added to the special stay. My wife and I would highly recommend a stay at the Whitehaven Hotel in the small and quaint village of Whitehaven MD.

very cool, we stayed in the federal room, the ospreys had just come back. great atmosphere, great people, and best of all, no tv in our room!

Stayed New Year's Eve at the Whitehaven Hotel. Jefferson showed us to our room and talked about the history of the hotel, which was built to accomodate steamboat travellers. We stayed in the Victorian room, which was beautifully and comfortably furnished. It had a bay window and it overlooked the Wicomico River and we watched the ferry take cars back and forth across the river. We also enjoyed having a fire in the fireplace. The gourmet breakfast was delicious and served by the Innkeeper, Cindy, who was very friendly and chatted with us. The place had an amazing historic feel, which I just loved. We live on the Eastern Shore and it was a nice getaway. We would go back again. Room Tip: We stayed in the Victorian Room, but also saw the Federal Room and it was very beautiful

Everything about this B&B is top notch. The hotel sparkles, from its attention to detail, interior and exterior, to its warm and welcoming innkeeper. The hotel's location can't be beat. Riverfront and picturesque, you can borrow kayaks to go exploring or just sit on the front porch at happy hour and watch the Whitehaven Ferry go back and forth across the river. We stay here every year and love it.

The Whitehaven Hotel was perfect! The facility and scenery were peaceful and quiet. Cindy the innkeeper thought of every detail to make sure our two days were relaxing and enjoyable. Whitehaven is only minutes from Assateague Seashore and visiting the uncrowded beaches in the off season is a real bonus to staying at the Whitehaven Hotel.

Over the last 8-10years we've stayed at the Whitehaven for numerous biking weekends and have never been disappointed. The innkeeper, staff and accomadations are wonderful & the breakfasts are mouth watering.
