THE RIGHT SPOT

My wife and I spent a long weekend here. The inn was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay here again if I ever get back to Baltimore.
The location is simply perfect. We parked the car on Friday afternoon & did not need to touch it until Monday morning. We walked to little Italy every night for dinner. Must be 40 restaurants in a six block area. On Friday night they were showing "Gone with the wind" on the side of a building in a parking lot across the street from a very fine Italian bakery. Each day we walked a couple of the blocks to the inner harbor. Visited the aquarium there. Ate crabs on a wharf. Toured the USS Constellation. Took water taxis to fells point. Went and listened to live music at the Power Plant Live.

I had my wedding at the attached venue. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. They did everything things they could to make sure my day was perfect. Myself and several guest stayed the night and the rooms were beautiful.
Hidden pocket of surprises.

We stayed at the CATON room which is close to the main road and though we got used to the noise, it is not a room for a light sleeper. They do provide great breakfast and even gluten free options. I ordered a buritto with corn tortilla and they made a mistake which they corrected by making one wrapped with a corn tortilla, but the egg content was bland.. I thought it would be real eggs but it was not. Next time i know to select the omelette options. I would stay there again any day.

Although from Baltimore, our son and now new daughter-in-law had their wedding and reception at the 1840s Ballroom which is attached. We wanted to stay at the venue for ease of dressing, photos etc.
The room was beautifully decorated. The pictures barely do the Inn justice. The Inn is close to historic sites and the courtyard (where we ate breakfast) was welcoming.
We did hear some street noise from our room that we are not accustomed to hearing, but we do live in a quite neighborhood.
The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
I would recommend the 1840s Inn. I wish we had more time to enjoy the charm of the Inn.
A Great Location

We recently spent 3 nights at the 1840's Carrollton in one room and our parents were in another for 2 nights. We were there for graduation. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were so helpful before we arrived, patiently answering questions by phone and working to help us get just the right accommodations. Then once we arrived, they were great helping us solve all of our challenges. We love the location. Within walking distance of Little Italy, and although a longer walk, it was very pleasant to walk from Fells Point as well. Breakfasts were great, and on the morning we had to leave early for our flight they made special accommodations for us. We would highly recommend this Inn.
Amazing and Romantic

We spent our 1 year Anniversary here! We loved it. It was so romantic and everything that we needed was there. The room was so spacious and the tub was amazing the jets made it so relaxing. Great with a glass of champagne. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We could walk to all the restaurants and the inner harbor. We had breakfast in the courtyard and it was so cozy and romantic. We are defiantly going back there.

We always enjoy our stay. However, it seems the staff has been overhauled and not for the better. New front staff seems to be younger and more into chatting with each other and checking their social media instead of offering top notch service. Also, as a visitor paying decent money I don't want to see your employees looking like they just rolled out of bed and wearing flip flops... Very unprofessional.

We LOVED our stay here!!! It was so romantic and quiet, and beautifully decorated! When we arrived, we had a LOT of luggage. We were supposed to be in a room a few floors up, but when the people at the front desk saw us with all of our bags, they upgraded us to a first floor, much bigger room. In fact, it was a suite with two rooms! (It was both winter aka slow season and the elevator was broken, so I don't think it was a hardship for them, but they were also definitely being kind!!!) The rooms were gorgeous, we could snuggle on a couch/decorative pull-out bed in front of the fireplace in one room and sleep in the other, having both a fridge and a microwave in the room helped us out a LOT, the shower and jacuzzi bathtub were beautiful, my fiancee took advantage of the complimentary breakfast (DEFINITELY above the normal quality of complimentary breakfasts) (I was at work)...it was pretty quiet for being in the city...it's going to sound strange, but the only downside was the pillows...they were too fluffy, They were uncomfortable to use and they were all the same..I slept okay without one, but it caused my fiancee to not sleep so well. It wasn't the bed; the bed was great. It was the pillows. Besides that one little thing, we loved our stay here and can't wait to come back!!
We will be back
