We stayed at the Green Turtle Bed and Breakfast. It was fantastic. The owners Jon and Karen were very welcoming. They provided us with very helpful information about how to get around, places to visit and even gave use ponchos and umbrella for a rainy game at Fenway Park. The breakfasts were fantastic and delivered right on time each and every time. the rooms were clean, comfortable and they took the extra step to make sure every need or possible need were meet.

I surprised my wife with a weekend in Boston for our 27th Wedding Anniversary. After reading incredible Trip Advisor reviews for Green Turtle B&B, I visited the website to check availability. Much to my amazement, a unit was available. I quickly reserved the weekend. The day we arrived was the grand reopening of Pier 8. The docks were all brand new. There were maybe 10 boats in the entire harbor area. The "innkeepers", (is that what you call proprietors of a floating B&B?) Karen and Jon met us dockside and led us to the Andante, a beautiful 2 bedroom yacht, built in the mid-eighties with gorgeous wood paneling, comfy chairs and couches, quality beds with plenty of pillows and quilts and a variety of inviting areas above and below deck for hanging out and relaxing. We were overjoyed. Over the few days we were in town, we enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts in many ways. Karen was very helpful in providing useful information about nearby restaurants and attractions. Jon shared stories of his maritime adventures and delivered an incredible, fresh breakfast each morning. They were always available if we had any questions and seemed to always have a friendly word and a smile in their faces. We left a little earlier today, rested and full of great memories of Boston. Our stay on the Andante will not soon be forgotten! We hope to return again, someday

My husband and I can't wait to come back to Boston and stay in this comfortable floating bed & breakfast We were extremely impressed with the location, views, selection of sightseeing information, quality of furnishings and awesome breakfast delivered to our door. Jon and Karen were very gracious host/hostess during our stay with suggestions and making reservations at theCafe Rossettis, which was a awesome end to our three week Northeast Trip. Stayed: April 2015

I should have written this review earlier. We stayed here during Thanksgiving, there were 4 of us and we are so glad that we chose to stay with Karen and Jon. Even it was chilly outside yet it was so warm and cozy inside the yacht. it has everything you need- games & tv & hot water& stunning sunset also a good sleep. The breakfast would be delivered to your door and it's very delicious. If you are lucky enough, you will also see seals playing on the dock; talking with Karen and Jon was another pleasant thing as they would love to share with you their knowledge of the city and experience on the sea! I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to have an unforgettable trip~

Very different and special. Quite the adventure as when you arrive depending on the tides you will either go down a very steep ramp or one that is level. It really changes with the tide (fun). When you arrive the host greet you in the parking lot and take you to the houseboat. They are all ready for you with the heat on and all kinds of snacks and a stocked fridge with milk, cream, juice, water and yogurts. Coffee and Teas as well. Beautiful decor and very cozy with a small kitchen. Nice to sit and watch the planes land and take off. Would love to go back when it is a little warmer as I would love to sit on the dock with my Tea/Cocktails and enjoy the water and the views. This place is really in Winthrop but right on the Boston line on the Boston Harbor, but close to the Boston Trains (The T)...and they will pay for your parking at the T stop or a cab to get there. Its only about a mile. The Restaurants they recommend are excellent we especially loved the small Italian one....great and a BYOB. For the most part the planes are not a big problem but you do hear them especially early morning when they are all lined up and leave one after the other for about an hour....after that every once in a while and it is more fun to watch than annoying. Ear plugs will help. If you are and early riser no big deal at all. I Think the adventure outways the planes. A real fun and different place to stay...Enjoy

Great fun on the water. Nice, attentive hosts. Although there is a T stop about a mile away, it's best if you have a car to get around.

So the Outstanding rating was not working, or I would've selected them for Service & Value! The Service was amazing! They met us on our request & changed with us when our plans changed. Breakfast was superb! Our room met my expectations although the Logan Airport planes did wake us up throughout the night.

This is the most amazing B&B ever. The views were fabulous but not nearly as good as Karen and Jon as hosts. Everything you could possibly want was thought of and delivered with good cheer and a warm smile. Thoroughly recommend the Green Turtle to anyone wanting a unique and unforgettable stay in Boston.

Thanks Karen and Jon for a great night on the docks! For once I am glad our favorite hotel rooms on the waterfront in Boston were all booked! I've read "good things" about the Green Turtle for a few years now, but it's so popular we have never been able to book it for our desired dates. We just got lucky this time. Really lucky! It was a crisp fall evening in October, the sunset from our deck chairs (with wine) was gorgeous, getting the T (transit) into Boston was super convenient, and that breakfast quiche was delicious! If you expect great service, want to be be lulled to sleep by the lapping of water against the hull, or simply want a new awesome alternative to that boring hotel room definitely try the Green Turtle for your next stay. The little galley is also complete with coffee, tea, snacks and many other items in the fridge to drink and eat. It was a fun, memorable experience. We plan to be return customers! Just remember to book well in advance.
