    Ofrece tres lujo completamente equipadas cabañas en 50 hectáreas de bosques maduros con amplia fachada el río fresco artesanal-alimentado Tchefuncte, protegidos en virtud de la ley de ríos escénicas de Luisiana.     Early summer at the Little River Bluffs

    A beautiful forest retreat with access to the pretty Little Tchefuncte River. The trails are interspersed with interesting sculpture and the birdsong is everpresent. One must bring all necessary food for cooking or be willing to travel at least one half hour to a decent restaurant.

    Paradise

    During the spring, fall, and winter, the air conditioning was ok, but during the summer, the house upstairs got unbearable. Mattresses for guest bed and futon are less than desired. Having said that, Little River Bluffs is absolutely amazing. David's tea bread was delicious! I would love to live there permanently! David and Doris are delightful.

    As always, we are very grateful for the very nice things that guests submit. As did the last guests who thought Little River Bluffs "amazing" but noted the Lodge House upstairs was "unbearable." We thought this a little unfair, for as soon as the guests advised us, we had the a/c man out the very next morning (how often does that happen?); the compressor had gone out, a new $2700 unit was replaced that very day and works perfectly. We are of course sorry that they were uncomfortable that one night, but we mainly wanted guests to know that was a one night anomaly, and all future guests may rest assured that the upstairs is cool as usual. Thank you. David

    A piece of heaven!

    Pristine river, woods and pond -- nature truly preserved. Each of the cottages are furnished like someones home or vacation home, personal and homey rather than the expected stark "country cabin." Very comfortable, peaceful, quite with wonderful views.

    We enjoyed the privacy. Just rest and relaxation. No one bothered us, we did not see anyone except for the owner when he brought us a revised bill.

    Peaceful Stay!

    We stayed at the Lodge the week our daughter was getting married. It was so nice being able to spend time together as a family in such a beautiful and peaceful place. Waking up in the morning we felt rejuvenated by the scenery. My only wish was to have stay another week on the back end! So much better than the hotel we had considered. As you can see by my ratings the cleanliness met my expectations. The Lodge is quite rustic and with that comes spider webs and dust balls. The oven was pretty dirty- but in all honesty we did arrive a day early so maybe they didn't have time to clean that very well. David was very accommodating when we realized we were able to get there a day earlier. We did call for extra wood for the fireplaces and it was delivered very quickly. David was very kind and most willing to make our stay pleasant. Thanks for a great week!!!

    off the beaten path and worth the drive

    If you are looking for a lovely place to stay "away form it all", Little River Bluffs is an excellent value. Although not a large area (30 acres), there are some lovely walks through the woods and along the river, with surprises such as some interesting sculptures, a meadow with a croquet game set up and ready to play, a couple of kayaks, and some meditation benches.
