"We arrived after dark, but the house was warm and inviting! The back porch lights welcomed us to sit and relax before dinner. What a delight it was to enjoy an evening on the banks of the Cane River with friends. Our daughters were running the next morning in the cross country state meet and this was our time to relax before the big event. The next morning, we were awakened to the delicious scents of coffee and breakfast. Charles had the table set beautifully. This was such a treat in every way. The food was divine and Charles was the perfect host. We will plan on coming again. Our only regret was that we couldn't spend another day at Violet Hill!"
