    The Royal Treatment

    That is what we received at the Royal Victorian . We had the Royal Suite. Our room was beautiful and more than expected. The whole house has been restored and decorated with elegant top notch details. Our Hosts Karla and Everton were beyond friendly, and very informative, with the history of the house as well as what to do in the area. They went out of their way to deliver the Royal treatment which included a breakfast feast in a grand dining room fit for a King and Queen.

    Karla and Everton are the kindest, most welcoming people to their beautiful bed & breakfast. They have worked very hard and with much love to bring this home up-to-date with all the wonderful amenities They have not missed a detail, the home is gorgeous and meticulously kept. Each bedroom is prettier than the next with very comfortable beds! Breakfasts are delicious and would love to make another stay in the future. Woodstock is a charming town and well known for the filming of Groundhog Day. Part of it was filmed at the B&B and a copy of the DVD is in each room:)

    Perfection.

    I may be a biased Groundhog Day fan, and quite overwhelmed by the fact that I was staying in the same building that Phil Connors did, this beautiful Bed and Breakfast would of deserved the same 5 star review regardless. A truly unique and exquisite way to spend a night in the charming town of Woodstock. Not only this, Karla and Everton were extremely friendly and a genuine pleasure as hosts. Not only did they make us feel completely at ease and welcome in their wonderful home, they treated my wife to a fabulous birthday breakfast celebration! (We even got Everton to dance for us! Very entertaining!) All in all, we will take away nothing but fond memories of our stay in the Royal Victorian Manor - simply the standard by which all Bed and Breakfast accommodation should be measured.     Best vacation in a long time

    We went to Woodstock for Groundhog Day, and where better to stay but here? Everton and Karla were the perfect hosts and the house was everything we expected!

    Exceptional - the perfect get-away

    We had the privilege of staying at the Royal Victorian Manor this weekend, and it was absolutely exceptional! This is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic get-away for anyone in the Chicago or Milwaukee metro areas. Karla and Everton are friendly and welcoming - they provide incredible service and also give their guests complete privacy. Our room - the Garden Suite - could not have been more comfortable, inviting and romantic. The bathroom was beyond anything I have ever experienced in a B&B. The location is also ideal, steps from the variety of excellent restaurants on the Woodstock square (we enjoyed Petite Creperia) and the quaint shops and parks. I am a discriminating traveler, and I must say that this inn far exceeded my high expectations. We will be going back soon, and I hope others will too. You will not be disappointed!

    We were the first guests of the Royal Victorian Manor. We had a great time in Woodstock and saw all of the Groundhog Day sites. Carla and Everton were very hospitable. We're coming back on Groundhog Day!

    Come for the home, stay for the hospitality

    We stayed three nights for our twenty-fifth anniversary. From the warm greetings and friendliness of our hosts Karla & Everton to the special touches they added to our delightful suite and the special music selection they chose to play during our intimate (and delicious) anniversary breakfast, our hosts and their exquisite victorian home combined to create a special experience for us. The manor is a treasure and the updates the owners added are all first class. In addition, we found Woodstock to be both picturesque and the inhabitants wonderfully friendly and the food delicious at every place we stopped. Frankly our day in Lake Geneva was not half as enjoyable as our two days spent in Woodstock... the town "Groundhog Day" was filmed in. We have stayed in b&b's all over the midwest and this is one we would absolutely return to and can recommend wholeheartedly!

    "WOW" New B & B in Woodstock, Illinois

    Our romantic birthday getaway to the Royal Victorian Manor B & B, had a tremendous "WOW" factor. From our warm greeting, to our fond goodbye, we were treated to luxury and first-class hospitality. Though recently opened (June 2010) the Royal Victorian Manor innkeepers, Karla and Everton, are clearly experienced as gracious hosts. The decor is outstanding -- Karla is a gifted designer. The breakfasts were delicious and presented beautifully at a table set with gorgeous linens, china and stemware. Set in historic Woodstock, there is much to do and see -- great shopping and dining, the Woodstock Opera House, and, our favorite, fantastic bike trails to be explored. We can't wait to return!
