Great relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Our family rented the entire building which worked out perfectly because there are numerous private suites and also a large "bunk room" which the teenagers loved. We were there for an entire weekend and enjoyed the friendly host, who is very knowlegable and fun to talk with on numerous topics. This is not a stuffy place with precious antiques. Instead it is relaxed and fun for different age groups. Our family had a great time!

Myself and a few wonderful friends from high school ran away for the weekend and picked this B&B for our reconnect. It was the most intriguing place I have ever stayed and we had a wonderful experience that easily topped the best rated hotels. The B&B experience is new to me and my expectations were exceeded and I found myself not wanting to leave and easily taken inn by the charm and ambience of old building. The host went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely incredible. Conversations with the host were meaningful and intriguing. Chad is a very knowledgable and by the end of the weekend we felt as if he was an old friend and we longed to meet his family that is currently in the Netherlands. The building and rooms are decorated nicely adding to the charm of the old building. Chad and his family are in process of refinishing some of the rooms not unlike myself and my friends "in process" as we reconnected while enjoying our wonderful stay at the Inn. And you cannot leave with out some of Chads tantalizing baked goods!

I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast on a road trip early this summer. The building is beautiful; the rooms are all unique and nicely decorated. The view from the building is even more phenomenal - easily one of the most gorgeous sunsets I've ever seen. There are also peacocks and other animals nearby in the old schoolyard to see if you don't have the time to check out the local attractions. I stayed in a suite with its own kitchen and European style bathroom featuring an excellent shower. The bed and breakfast was quiet and cozy and I got great sleep. There were two heaters and a huge comfortable bed with a comforter. The owner of the B&B was very nice and friendly. He offered pancakes, coffee, and cereal early in the morning and homemade bread when I arrived. The warm smell of the bakery filled the building in the morning and the taste of the goods did not disappoint. If you are looking for a place to stay near Albion, I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast. It was quiet, relaxing, and affordable!

I stayed at the Albion Bed and Breakfast with my 2 children en route to Utah. The innkeeper is a wonderful host, and the game room is fantastic. The breakfast is delicious, as is the bread baked by the owner. I would like to stay here again.

Wonderful room as we stayed in the Principal's Suite. The room was nicely done, very clean, big bathroom! I would recommend the Albion Bed & Breakfast to anybody who wants a quiet stay in a beautiful setting. Weather was cooler, but a great area to go for walks. Chad was a wonderful host and delivered a super breakfast.

We came for the Pomerelle mountain skiing. The Albion B&B was an unexpected highlight of the trip. The owner Chad made you feel right at home. A short and interesting history lesson of the old school facility was part of the attraction for me. When we return to Pomerelle someday, a stay at the Albion B&B will be an automatic addition.

We took our daughters snowbaording for their 16th birthday. We had 27 of us and the Albion bed and breakfast couldn't have been better. We had room for everyone and the teenagers loved the space and the game room!!!! We all loved it. It was so nice to have a place for all of us to eat together. We want to make this snowbaording an annual event and stay here! Thank you Chad it was perfect!

We came here for our honeymoon, what a neat historic building! My husband was in charge of finding a place and anything would of been great, but this place was a neat and different place. He did a wonderful job. It was perfect for us! The feel of the place is very cozy and laid back. The principle suite has a huge living room, plenty of kitchen space, the bathroom has a really unique design. We thought the wooden floors and original doors made the place feel more homey. Chad's hospitality was beyond what anyone could except. He upgraded us to the principal suite. He explained things to do in the area. Made us feel comfortable like it was "our home"; where to play games, watch a movie, get snacks, etc. He made us a great breakfast, eggs and his homemade muffins, yummy (he offered to make french toast too, but we were not that hungry) and was wonderful to talk with. He showed us many of the rooms at the bed & breakfast, because we were curious to see what the other rooms were decorated as. Truly an exceptional host! Chad is still in the process of restoring/remodeling this beautiful building, but nothing that ruins the feel of your stay. There are lots of fun things near by as well. We went hiking at Lake Cleveland, which is about 40 minutes away. We went to the Albion college haunted house, just had to walk through the back yard to get there. We dined at sage mountain grill, which is about a block away. There are fire pits, horse shoe areas, and other outdoor activities to do.

This was a great place to stay. We enjoyed the ambiance of the old school very much and it was great to see the renovations that had been made. We stayed in the Science Room in the basement in the East wing. It was great with a few exceptions, -- the door to our room didn't have a lock. That was a little creepy and made us feel somewhat insecure. The door also had a window in it, granted it was the original door to that room, but it needed a curtain or blind of some kind. Those two things were the biggest problems, the rest are just little things. The shower needed a bar of soap and a bath mat to step out onto, and the kitchen window needed a blind on it. Other than those things Chad was an excellent host. His bread is out of this world! He really took good care of us. The things I mentioned above I believe can be easily taken care of.

I usually ask our guests to tell us of any oversights. Perhaps I forgot this time. We did correct all those things you noted but we are still a work in progress as we hoped you would understand. Glad you enjoyed the stay overall.

We had a wonderful women's retreat using the Albion Bed and Breakfast and the adjoining Campus Grove facility. The owner was great to work with and bent over backwards to help us. His signature bread was great too.

Chad was so very welcoming and helpful to the 85 women coming to Albion for a weekend retreat and needed his B&B for overflow accomodations! We used the large former classrooms as our meeting area for worship and guest speaker. Yummy fresh baked bread was provided for our breakfasts. This B&B has historic charm and is nestled away from the hustle of the city. Very inviting. Thank Chad!

Came with a large group of women, and filled every available space! Some rooms were beautifully finished, others still in need of renovation. Owner was readily available to answer questions and provide for unexpected needs. Great bread from his bakery!

Sun 5/1 in the Geography Room. Spent Sunday in N Utah; wanted to visit City of Rocks National Reserve in Almo, ID on Monday. This B&B stood out. I reserved for a reasonable rate; talked to innkeeper Chad to arrange arrival time and found it with my GPS. (My Garvin thinks the building is closer to the main street of Albion than it is, but it's a pretty obvious school-like building.) I was up before Chad on Monday AM so didn't get to sample the hoped-for breakfast (I'm a birder/photographer so I rise very early.) This is a standout in an area with few choices for those of us who don't own a camper and don't want to sleep on the ground.

I will surely recommend this place if are go skiing to Pomerelle Mtn. I just hope you are not a fun of 5-stars distillated hotels, but like bit unusual and friedly environment. We've been really lucky to stay at this place and met innkeeper Chad - really bright person. We are not even sure what was the biggest attraction during weekend - skiing or talkink-listening Chad. Also his bakery is really good. I am tryin' to avoid word "organic" - so this place is Good and Real. Egor, Natasha and Maria

I so enjoyed these special guests, they had only been in the U.S. a few months from Moscow, Russia and are rapidly learning English, yet we were still able to connect on a heart level. I look forward to hosting them often. Chad

What a great place for a weekend family getaway!!!! With a family our size (35+) it is hard to find a place for us all to get together for the holidays. The Albion Bed & Breakfast was an excellent fit for us. The rooms were perfect, very large and accomodating. My favorite spot was the big great room, with a cozy wood burning fireplace and lots of space for fun and games and family chit chat. Also not to be left unmentioned are the dining room and kitchen. Our family is used to having to eat in shifts when we all get together due to lack of space or kitchen occomadations. Not so here, it was great to be able to all sit down and eat together and have plenty of space, tables, and chairs for everyone. Not only is this a great building and location with loads of charm and history, but Chad, our host, was very jovial and full of stories and quips from his time spent in various places throughout the world. All in all this was the perfect December weekend, I can't think of anything I would add or take away to make it better.

The near by parks are magnificent. The natural bolder formations are something to behold. The ski area is fantastic. A true treasure with Salt Lake quality powder a runs. The owners a very knowledgeable about the area and history. The hospitality makes you feel like a welcomed visitor. I look forward to my next stay!

The entrancing drive into Albion offers a full view of the quaint village and valley! I easily found Albion Bed and Breakfast in the tiny town by following their sign as I drove in on the main street. This B & B's historical building happily seems to maintain many of the original features. I stayed for a few nights in the Principal's suite in November. It was so spacious that I could have brought my whole family! I could hardly believe the warm weather on my walk around town; no need for a sweater even though I could see snow on the mountains. Also, nice to feel safe on my stroll due to the town's leash law. My activites there included playing invigorating games of ping pong with other guests, watching a movie of my choice on their big screen TV by the cozy fire, perusing the books that appeared able to satisfy a broad range of interests, watching Chad, the innkeeper, make and bake bread-- and OH the delicious smell of hot bread just out of the oven! I had 3 slices in a row, I just couldn't resist! Though the day was warm the night was chilly. The innkeeper brought me a hot water bottle for my sore back--I'd over done some of my activities--plus an extra heater and down blanket. I got so warm I turned off the heater! I was excited to try the delectable looking blueberry muffins in the morning; they tasted even better than they looked! All the food even satisfied my high standards for healthy eating! And the peaceful atmosphere and lovely views made my stay so relaxing. I am looking forward to another opportunity to stay when the highly rated Pomerelle Ski Resort opens. I'd also like to try the guided snowshoeing available at Castle Rocks State Park. Hiking or biking around the countryside is great fun too. I highly recommend the area for fun activities and Albion B & B for an outstanding place to stay!

Our stay at the Albion Bed & Breakfast was peaceful and relaxing. We desperately needed a getaway, and Chad took great care of us. He even took out our dog for us once! The kids (and dog) loved the large yard, the playground at the current elementary school across the street (weekends only), and the selection of movies to watch on the giant screen. I loved walking the dog on the peaceful country streets with neighbors who offer friendly waves, and relaxing in my room enjoying the view and a good book. The Geography Room is simply lovely, and the view... Oh the view! A wall of windows looking out over the countryside with the moon in the sky! It was fun imagining children at school, actively learning in what was now my bedroom. The electric fireplace was delightful and has me wanting one of my own! Chad is an expert baker, and we loved the fresh bread, right out of the oven! The kids loved peeking in the kitchen and learning a little about how bread is made. Chad explains it all in a way that is fun and easy to understand. (Have your kids ask how the yeast makes bubbles in the bread. I promise his analogy will have you laughing for awhile!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Principal's Suite! It is a totally modern suite within this historic building. Chad, the innkeeper, allowed us to tour other rooms which are still being remodeled, and which will retain many of their historic aspects. It was fascinating to see the creativity he is using to both make the rooms comfortable and still retain many of the original features, such as the teacher's assignments still written on chalkboards! Also, we really enjoyed talking with Chad, who is a true "renaissance man" with multiple areas of expertise....including being a baker! We got to watch him bake bread, and then eat the delicious results. Yum! We also took a leisurely drive up to Pomerelle ski resort, and to the top of the mountain. What an incredible view! It you want to get off the beaten path, and out of the predictable motel chains, and get a view of the old world, we highly recommend you visit Albion B&B. Angeline and Dixon

My wife and I stayed in the Principal's Suite in the old Albion Normal School Building. Spending time in the Principal's Office was never like this - large livingroom, bedroom with kingsized bed, modern kitchen and large tiled bathroom. Very comfortable and the hosts were delightful. Pleasant setting near the former Albion College Campus. Lake Cleveland and the Pomerelle ski area is close by and the City of Rocks is only about 30 miles away. The area matches the beauty of Sun Valley and Aspen, but without the over-developement. Steve and Sue Walker
