I have had the pleasure of staying at the Hillbrook Inn twice this year and cannot wait to go back again. The rooms are perfect, the staff is amazing, and the meals are nothing short of delicious and filling. In our most recent visit, we made a joke to the staff about me enjoying bacon and the next day during breakfast they gave us a special plate to enjoy. It's the little touches that make the biggest difference and their attention to detail is bar none the best! Thanks again!!
I have been checking this place on the internet for a while! Finally I used my husbands birthday as an excuse to get away for the weekend at this lovely place. I loved that I was able to book everything I wanted through their friendly website. Staff followed up with a phone call to confirm my booking and special requests. We were very pleased with the cooking class we took given by chef Roselyn. She was able to accommodate our request (combination of knife skills and grilling class.) the five course diner was delicious! You can tell the chef really puts a lot of care and attention to detail when planning these diners. The atmosphere at the dining room is lovely and our waitress was very friendly -- I believe her name was Becky. The room was very clean, comfy and cozy! We stayed at the summer cottage. Worth the money and hope to be back soon!
First time in the Farmhouse and it was lovely, private, roomy and the macaroons left for guests were to die for. The front porch views of the orchard gave one a real sense of being away from it all.
My wife and I have visited Hillbrook Inn multiple times and continue to find reasons to return. This was our first time in the Bamford room which is now our favorite room. The staff was attentive and friendly as usual(another thing that keeps us coming back. We did not have dinner this time but the breakfast was awesome Our only request is usually for breakfast is bacon and as usually, they did not disappoint.
A very nice, well-maintained property with outstanding attention to service detail. A great place to unwind for a getaway if you are in the area. The Wine Tour was especially enjoyable. The breakfast was beyond the normal B&B fare. Thanks, to Ed (for a great wine tour), Andy (for a smooth check-in), and Justin (food). A strong recommend!
Beautiful grounds, amazing staff and a very romantic location for a quick getaway. My husband and I enjoyed the charm and warmth of the main house. The food was delicious and I was happy to see the accommodated my allergies.
This was my first exprience at a B & B and it could not have been better. The room service fod was better than any 5 star hotel/motel i have stayed at. I will definetly stay here again when i am in the area Frank Catizoen
We cannot say enough about this wonderful inn. It is not only beautiful with lovely grounds to explore, but the rooms and service are outstanding. We stayed in a cottage room that was spacious, comfortable and spotless. The staff was accommodating and friendly and the food at the restaurant was wonderful (the wine pairings were great too). We are already planning our return trip.
This was our first time we stayed at Rosemont and we will definitely be coming back soon! We got to look in all of the rooms and you would not be disappointed by a stay in any of them. Beautifully maintained grounds surround this awesome Manor.
Would definitely stay here again. The power was out for about 2 hours our first night, and they allowed us to move to another room. We actually couldn't find the other place, and they graciously offered to drive us over there. However, by the time we got to the main house, the power was back on!! After we checked out, the hotel still gave us a credit toward a future stay!! Very nice staff!!!
Stayed for 2 nights at the Sunset Suite in the Farmhouse and had the 3 course dinner. The property is absolutely beautiful (the main building looks like it's out of a fairytale). The staff and service here are phenomenal. In particular, Ricardo's warm personality made us feel just at home upon check in and both Marci and Bobbi's follow up to our requests were handled with a smile and a very high level of service. The first evening we were there, a nasty storm blew through and knocked out power to the property, both the staff and the owner herself, went above and beyond in this situation that was beyond their control. You could really tell, they cared about our experience and comfort. Justin was the chef for dinner that night and everything was very, very good. The dining room is intimate, romantic and the ease of having dinner there added to the relaxed evening we were looking for. I was a little nervous about a pre-fixed menu, as I am a bit of a picky eater, but everything was delicious and there was nothing that I didn't try. In addition, the meal starts right away so you aren't waiting 20 minutes for the first course..it was just lovely. Wonderful...Wonderful...Wonderful...can't wait to visit again!
We stayed in the Sunset Room in the Farmhouse. Everything was so beautiful- the room, the grounds. Everyone we met who worked here was very friendly as were the other guests we met. The main grounds are really large and you can wander around them or find a quiet place to read, bird watch or just relax. Rooms were clean, the farmhouse and the main house were clean. We didn't have dinner here, but the breakfasts were filling and delicious. We came on a Living Social deal so it was a good value- would have been too expensive for us at regular prices and we probably would never have come.
Service was great, rooms very clean , staff very friendly. This is the place if you want peace and quite, We did not do dinner to pricey. Stayed in farmhouse, did not expected to be so far away from main house. I would recommend for a peaceful getaway.
We visited Hillbrook Inn to celebrate my retirement from teaching. We arrived late because of car troubles (broken water pump) but we hobbled on in feeling just as broken as the car.The very perceptive staff set to work right away putting us at ease and calming our nerves. Within a few minutes we felt quite at home. We are completely indebted to Hillbrook Inn.
I kidnapped my husband for a quick weekend getaway at Hillbrook Inn. The grounds and the lodge are both beautiful and incredibly picturesque--they look like something straight out of a fairy tale. One of our favorite things was just to swing on a hammock under the trees--the weather was perfect, with sunshine breaking through the foliage and a soft breeze. Our room (the Overlook) was lovely--impeccable, and very inviting. We were able to hear the chattering of our neighbors, which was a bit disturbing, and WiFi didn't reach our room, but other than that the room was comfortable in every way. The bathroom is small, but super cute and more than adequate. As for dining, I was nervous about booking the fixed-menu dinner because my husband is kind of a picky eater. BUT, all the wonderful reviews from everyone else convinced me to splurge on the 5-course dinner, and it did not disappoint! The chef kept in mind all of mu husband's dislikes, and everything that was brought to our table was unique (watermelon gazpacho), exciting (salmon over gnocchi with fresh tomato ragu), and absolutely delicious (corn-potato bisque, NY strip steak made to perfection)! Both my husband and I oh-ed and ah-ed about each course. It was a truly unique experience, and I hope very much we will be able to do it again! Breakfast the next day was also delicious. Staff was super friendly. Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy, and the welcome drink was delicious too! We will surely be back!!!
My husband and I stayed two nights at the Hillbrook Inn to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We ordered the five-course meal both nights and it did not disappoint. We stayed in the South Suite at the Hawthorne House which was absolutely beautiful and extremely comfortable. The only drawback was having to drive to get to the Inn for dinner and breakfast, we felt just a tad isolated from the Inn even though the Hawthorne House was gorgeous. Price point for the Inn is expensive but we feel as though we got what we paid for so that is why it met our expectations. We plan to go again sometime but will ask to stay in one of the cottages on the Inn's property, they are adorable.
We stayed here for our anniversary. We loved the room and the main house was beautiful. The extensive grounds are amazingly kept and we had a nice walk all around the property in the evening and again in the morning after breakfast. Breakfast was good, but not anything special. The service at the front desk and at breakfast was outstanding, and we loved visiting nearby Winchester for dinner.
This was our first time staying at a B&B and it was wonderful. The dinner was exquisite and so was the service. The breakfast is 2 courses and just the right size. There is a professional chef preparing the meals, which is an extra bonus above other B&Bs. We were given a tour when we arrived, along with a short history lesson about the property. The atmosphere is to die for. I simply loved it. Unfortunately, for me, I am a light sleeper, so sleeping under people does not work for me. My husband reminded me that it was not a hotel, it's a house and the noises one would hear in a home are the same one would hear in another house. We were under the innkeeper and it seemed that he did not sleep. There were a lot of things dropping on the floor. Next time I will take a sound machine. Next time, we are going to stay in the cottages, which do not have an upper floor, I think.
I had my wedding in June of 2014 and it went so smoothly due to the professionalism and expertise of the staff at Stone Manor Inn. Brian and Loree are pros at what they do and I couldn't have asked for a better day. You will be sure to have a great event if you book it at Stone Manor.- Maureen Ryan
