    Wonderful experience!

    Thoroughly enjoyed my one night stay at Beechwood Inn. Couldn't have asked for better hospitality. My room was most charming and extremely comfortable. I stayed for the gourmet meal Saturday night and had one of the best experiences ever! I was so impressed with everything from the food and wine to the accommodations - I can't say enough wonderful things about this experience. I highly recommend the Beechwood Inn and will definitely will return myself.

    First time at a bed and breakfast

    We were attending a wedding at nearby Chota Falls Estate and didn't want to have to make the 2 hour drive back to Atlanta. I chose Beechwood Inn because I was afraid of the quality with the other hotel chains in the area. Although a bit pricey, we were not in any way disappointed by our stay. The room was lovely, the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. I would agree with all the good reviews I read. I would have no problem recommending this place to a close friend.

    Great B & B in beautiful area

    Stayed in Blueberry Cottage for 3 nights. Live Bluegrass Music and gourmet dinner with wine pairings on Saturday evening was superb! Delicious breakfasts each morning! Tasty hors d'oeuvres with wine each evening.

    Lura's Suite

    Our largest Suite features a cozy livingroom with a single sleep sofa, writing desk, private screened porch with a glider, separate large bedroom with a king bed. The large private bath has a modern shower. We have recently added a working gas fireplace and a large screen tv with cable. The suite is appointed with period pieces and fine reproductions. Lura Bucholz, the original owner, lived in this suite from 1916 until 1957. Garden view. With the sleep sofa the room can accommodate up to three guests ($25.00 additional charge for the third person).

    Stekoa Suite

    An indulgently comfortable two-room suite. It has a separate living room, bedroom and private bath. It features a Queen Sized bed, antique copper bathtub, private entrance with a sitting porch. The living room has a writing table, large queen size sleep sofa, and working fireplace. The copper tub dates from the 1920’s, and once filled with hot water – it stays warm unlike a porcelan tub. With the sleep sofa the room can accommodate up to three guests ($25.00 additional charge for the third person).

    Rose Cottage Room

    This cozy corner room with windows on two sides is filled with light. It was once a screened-in sleeping porch so you will be entranced by its original heart pine floors sloped to permit rain to drain out. It is now comfortably enclosed for your comfort. It features a large modern shower bath, walk-in closet and queen bed. The five large windows afford guests great views of Black Rock Mountain and the Beechwood secret garden. It will charm and comfort you.

    The Vineyard room is very private, located at the end of the Inn, and is decorated in grape and vineyard motif, including bedspread, drapes, paintings and decorations. The Vineyard Room has a king-size bed, private bathroom with a shower, working fireplace, sofa, writing desk, air-conditioning and windows on three sides offering wonderful views of Black Rock Mountain and the Beechwood Secret Garden.     This large two room suite has a seperate sitting room with working fireplace, writing desk, sofa and overstuffed chair. The bedroom area has a queen bed and entrance that leads to your private covered porch. The porch offers a secluded sitting area to observe our hidden garden. The Victorian bath features an original claw-foot tub. Stone steps lead guests from the secluded covered porch to the Secret Garden.

    This luxuiously restored North Georgia Cabin is down a set of garden steps and overlooks Beechwood Inn's Blueberry Patch. The Cabin has a vaulted ceiling, wood floors, a king bed, fireplace in the bedroom, living room area, large screen Satellite TV with Sirius Music, ceiling fans and air conditioning. It also has a kitchenette with refrigerator, sink, micro-wave, coffee pot, a modern bathroom with a Rainwater shower and Jacuzzi Whirlpool. The cabin has a private deck with two Adirondack chairs overlooking the inn's blueberry patch and Blackrock Mountain. 600 thread count sheets.

    Husband and wife Chefs David and Gayle really know how to dazzle guests with their culinary arts and their pledge of staying 'farm to table' on their cuisine choices. A charming place in a quaint part of Georgia to stay.

    We had just one night to get away and had just gotten our Southern Living magazine with an article about Clayton, GA and suggested places to go to, etc. It was a Saturday night and the owners were away, but they had a couple there that goes all over the South and provide B & B "sitting services". They were great. They take over for B & B owners whenever the owners want to get away. I always wondered how owners were able to take vacations themselves. Anyway, it was just as if the owners were there, except they didn't have their normal Saturday night special wine pairing meal. We did have free wine and cheese at 5:30 pm. We had a room with a large sitting room, flat screen and gas pot belly stove in the sitting room. The beds were very plush and comfortable. Breakfast was great. The "subs" knew what they were doing in this respect also - cheese and egg puff, bananas foster. This Inn was built as a home around 1922 and had all types of memorabilia laying around, old magazines, household items. It had a big wrap around porch that overlooks the mountains - great for sitting and reading, listening to the birds, etc. Just far enough off the main road so that you don't get too much noise. For hiking go to Black Rock Mtn State Park - highest state park in Georgia - great views, buy the Daily pass and you can also get into Tallulah Falls State Park - largest gorge east of the Mississippi; also go to Tiger Vineyards just south of Clayton - really nice cafe and wine tastings/pairings

    Beechwood B&B Review

    Our stay at the Beechwood Inn was exceptional from the minute we arrived and throughout our stay. We very much enjoyed the excellent wines at wine-thirty and Gayle and David, the proprietors, were gracious, interesting hosts. Our room was filled with lovely antique furnishings and plush bedding. Our stay was topped off with a delicious breakfast prepared and served by our host - what a treat! We look forward to visiting the Inn again.

    A wonderful way to spend New Year's Eve - Entertainment, Dinner and a toast at midnight - did not have to drive anywhere, just went back to a very comfortable room.
