A warm welcome, a quick tour of the house and our perfect hosts were there of we needed the to be, they were attentative and were there to provide any assistance including local knowledge. The breakfast was top class, and different for the 2 days we were there and always the offer of more! Always a supply of cakes or buns, free water soft drinks and wine as well of course a bottle of Baileys all free of charge. The room was beautiful, the view of the see to die for, I would definitely recommend this wonderful B n B and great credit goes to the lovely hosts.
My husband and myself enjoyed a very relaxing couple of days at the Palmer House Inn. It certainly did not disappoint and the highlight for us was the scrumptious breakfast. Our room was a bit on the small side, there was nowhere to stow away luggage and the decor was not to our liking. However these are minor things - the food, service and overall ambience of Palmer House Inn all contributed to a very enjoyable stay there and I would certainly stay there again.
Have stayed at a few B&B over the years. This one was by far the best. The carriage suite was immaculate & had all ameneties you may need. The private entrance was definitely a plus. TV could be updated to a flat screen . The grounds are very inviting & tranquil. Perfect spot for us as we attended a wedding in Mashpee & visited with son in coastguard. Steve was a most gracious host. Thank you for a wonderful stay..
This is a beautifully kept property with attention to detail. Unfortunately, changes or corrections to initial reservations were not properly handled, even after phone-confirmation to the innkeepers. We were accommodated on the actual date of arrival but the host's atmosphere of inconvenience never disappeared. Our personal property reported missing was returned by post but it was based on five separate reminders. beautiful property however follow-up on reservation changes was lacking.
The staff is phenomenal at Woods Hole Inn! We greatly enjoyed our honeymoon stay and will be visiting again. The town of Woods Hole is quaint and the biking trail is terrific. Would recommend to everyone!
My husband and I stayed at this Inn in August of 2014. It is beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious. The location is fabulous. We were able walk to all the restaurants and shops on Main Street.
Stayed at Inn at Siders Lane in July. My husband and I have stayed in a few B&Bs in the Cape for the last few years and Inn at Siders Lane will now be the only B&B we will be staying at. The room was not only beautiful, but very spacious.
Stayed at this charming B&B for a night while attending a friends surprise party. The proprietor was a lovely gent who was so helpful and welcoming. The family suite was very private with separate entrance and very spacious. The home is locate on a lake and we enjoyed a nice kayak the following morning. Located close to Falmouth, Woods Hole where there are lots of shops and very good food options.
Never having been to New England before, we weren't sure where to stay for our first stay. How fortunate we were to have found Baileys By The Sea! Not only is it an impeccably run and maintained B&B, but it's just around the corner from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, yards from the local beach, a short bike ride to the Shining Sea Bike Trail, and minutes to downtown Falmouth with lots of shopping and great restaurants. Liz & Jerry make you feel welcome right from the start & will go out of their way to accommodate any need (like storing your bicycles) or even take time out of their work day to play a piano duet! Once at Baileys you will NOT want to leave!
Liz and Jerry were the consummate hosts. They were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were gorgeous, and as a family, it was wonderful to have two rooms sharing a bathroom for a reduced rate. The location is prime! I'd definitely recommend this BnB to friends and family!
My wife and I spent 6 nights in early August, 2014 at Bailey’s By the Sea. It was our first visit. It was an amazingly wonderful experience and prior to leaving we made reservations in 2015 for 7 nights. In my working career, I have stayed at hotels, B&B’s, and inns in Europe, Asia, and all over the U.S. This place is by far the most perfect facility at which I have stayed – decor, housekeeping, food, and service were excellent. The period Victorian residence has been restored to perfection with amazing fit, finish, and furnishings. The housekeeping is immaculate. As an example, the windows in the wrap around enclosed front porch are so clean, you are not sure they are there. Hence the view of Martha’s Vineyard is amazing. In short, there is not a “hair out of place”. The porch with its wonderful view is available at all hours of your stay and always has fresh coffee, tea, chocolate chip cookies as well as a “delight of the day” for your pleasure. The innkeepers – Liz and Jerry, are wonderful hosts and cannot seem to do enough for their guests. They are warm, friendly, conversational, and want to make certain that you are enjoying your stay at their residence as well as seeing the sites in Falmouth and the Cape. The breakfasts were simply amazing. Everyday had different glassware, dishes, and table setting. The menus were not repeated. The presentations of juice, a fruit starter, and main course were beautiful. While breakfast is between 8 and 9:30A, morning coffee is on at 7:00a. If you are seeking morning quietude with your coffee – the wrap around porch is the place. We stayed in the Houghton room which has a marvelous view of Martha’s Vineyard, and the Sound and the breezes never stopped. The private bath associated with this room was spotless, and like new. Liz and Jerry are a classy couple running a classy B&B – we felt like we were sharing their home instead of staying there!!
My husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary and it was also our first stay in a Bed and Breakfast. The Inn was super clean and all the staff was amazing. They just had everything you needed and wanted from umbrellas to borrow on rainy days, beach towels to take to Martha's Vineyard for your day trip, and free bike rentals to explore the Shining Sea Bike Path. And every morning the breakfast exceeded our expectations. The croissants and the quiches were our favorite. We stayed for 4 nights and can't wait to come back! Woods Hole Inn and the town are such a great place if you want a laid back getaway. It is not a late night town or over crowded with night clubs but it has just enough going on to make your stay unique and wanting to do go on daily explorations. Renee and Darrell South Florida
When we arrived at Captain's Manor Inn, I was so impressed with the beauty of the Inn and gardens. The Canopy Room was so beautiful and immaculate. I didn't think that it could get any better, that is, until we ate the delicious breakfasts each morning and snacks in the afternoon. It was a short walk to shopping and restaurants and the bus pickup for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard was also close. Thank you Trish, Kevin and staff for such a wonderful stay. We plan to return as soon as we can.
We recently returned from a 3-night stay at the Captain’s Manor Inn in Falmouth. The inn was very well maintained with lovely gardens and impeccable accommodations. We stayed in the Tuscany Room which reminded us of a recent trip to Florence. The breakfasts were simply delicious and varied each day. The sweet treats made available in the late afternoon made for a great dessert after our dinner. Trish and Kevin Robinson were the gracious hosts who went out of their way to make us feel most comfortable. They were always available with helpful hints on what to do and see. Their staff was top notch as well. Our trip back to Falmouth after some 10 years has confirmed that Falmouth and Captain’s Manor Inn is the best town and place to stay on the Cape. Treat yourselves to a magnificent stay, you’re worth it!
