Park View Guest House is a Victorian house, fully refurbished in September 2011. We offer comfortable, friendly accommodation within a few minutes walking distance of York’s historic city centre. We are conveniently located just five minutes away from many of York’s famous tourist attractions. The Jorvik Viking Centre and National Railway Museum in the city centre are less than 8 minutes away. The famous Shambles is about 5 minutes away. Within the city centre itself, there is a host of bistros, restaurants, pubs and clubs. York Minister is just five minutes away. To the north east of York is the stunning North York Moors National Park with its heritage Yorkshire coast line and to the North West is the equally stunning Yorkshire Dale National Park. Both areas are within easy driving distance of York and a must on any visitor’s itinerary. Park View Guest House overlooks Haxby Park and Bowls Field and has free private off street car parking for up to 7 vehicles. All rooms have recently been fully refurbished to a high standard and offer comfortable, warm and friendly accommodation. All of our rooms are en suite with power showers, we have free WiFi internet access, plasma TVs in all rooms and tea/coffee tray so you can relax in bed with a cup of tea. As part of the refurbishment, a ground floor bedroom has been provided with wide, level wheel chair access, ideal for the elderly or disabled.
