    A weekend in London...

    So we planned a weekend trip to London the Monday before the Friday we wanted to stay...so I went on BedandBreakfast.com and called every b & b and to no surprise they were all booked. Chumleigh was next and I almost gave up the search when Michael answered the phone, was very friendly and told me he did have rooms open. He also explained to me that they were in the northern suburban burough of London and a 5 minute walk away from Finchley Central station (the underground station taking you to London) and the ride to London was about 15 minutes. I went ahead and made the reservations and we arrived a bit early, but he let us check in and drop our bags in our rooms. Michael took the time to give us a lot of information, tips on travel, places of interest and he drew us out a map and wrote down all the stations where we should get of on and explore. The b & b is nice, the decor has a modern look to it and it's interesting because the building itself is old. There is everything you need in your room, but our shower made quite a mess because it leaked out somehow...it was no problem, they quickly came and took care of the issue. Breakfast was awesome! There was the basic continental breakfast items, and also the option to have some eggs and bacon cooked for you. Very tasty! If you're going to London and want to stay somewhere quiet for the weekend at an affordable price then this is the place. In the city itself can be a bit much, so I recommend Chumleigh Lodge!

    excellent value, comfortable, clean & very friendly hotel

    enjoyed 2 stays at this hotel so far, first stay was my husbands accomodation whilst working in the area and I joined him a few times for a couple of days. Second stay was purely leisure, we wanted to visit Camden Market again and a few other places. This hotel offers quality, clean accomodation with a fantastic all-you-can-eat breakfast, it is also excellent value for money & makes a weekend in London affordable. The friendly, helpfull service from Michael, Alice and the team is second to none and much preferable to the 'stuffy', formal approach to be found in prestige hotels. We will be returning many times. Thank you
