We are close to the towns of Battle and Rye in the heart of 1066 country the site of the Battle of Hastings and with in easy reach of the Kentish town of Tenderden and National Trust properties such as Sissinghurst Castle and Christopher Lloyd's gardens at Great Dixter. The nationally recognised 1066 walk and the renowned Carr Taylor Vineyards are within 5 minutes walk of our home. Our accommodation is very comfortable and you can be assured of a good nights sleep. All of our rooms have private bathrooms and are on the ground floor well suited for people who have mobility problems. We have a large garden and south facing patio looking over vineyards and the Sussex countryside. There is a sitting-room available to our guests for reading and enjoying the view of the garden. Ample car parking space is available and we can store bikes and motor bikes in a locked garage. We are close to Battle site of the Battle of Hastings in 1066 when William the Conqueror came from Normandy and killed King Harold to become King of England. We are also close to Rye the old smuggling port with its Tudor-beamed houses and cobbled streets. Home to Henry James and Paul McCartney to name but two ! Our nearest shopping centre and large town is Hastings - an old fishing port dating since Roman times and full of attractions for all ages. There are many beautiful and historic houses and gardens in our area - this is the Garden of England!
