Nepenthe SE ENCUENTRA EN LA SELVA con vistas al pueblo de El Castillo, Lago ARNEAL Y tiene la mejor vista SEGUNDO del flujo de lava del volcán ARNEAL. Estamos a 800 metros al sur del Linda Vista del Norte LODGE Y 30 MINUTOS DE LA CIUDAD DE LA FORTUNA. Hay varios restaurantes estupendos cerca INCLUYENDO LA LINDA VISTA Steak House, EL NUEVO SOSA DE PUEBLO, Serpentario, EL MARGOT RANCHO, PIZZA LA FAMOSA DE JUAN Y HELADO EN LA SELVA (JARDINE ESCONDIDO), EL Iguña pierde, y el Observatorio Lodge BEST ( QUESO EN COSTA RICA), hay muchas cosas que hacer además de sólo relajarse y disfrutar de las magníficas vistas. Podemos organizar para hacer copias de A CABALLO con un guía local. El jardín de mariposas es bien merece una visita para ver TODOS los insectos, ranas, mariposas y plantas de COSTA RICA. LA CUBIERTA Sky Tram y RIDES tirolesa están muy cerca y el Serpentario tiene muchas de las serpientes locales, además de una boa gigante - TODOS cristal detrás. El lago ofrece barcos de pesca y VIENDO LA VISTA.

I did a lot of research on B&Bs in Costa Rica and this one had a few good reviews on Tripadvisor. I was NOT disappointed and would LOVE to go back if the volcano ever becomes active once again. The drive up to the B&B is rocky and at times steep - a vehicle with clearance is definitely recommended. (We never actually turned on the 4x4 function, I doubt it's necessary unless it's the rainy season.) The view once you get to the location is spectacular, and for the price of $85 a night, you can't beat it! The B&B overlooks Lake Arenal and has a wonderful view of the Volcano. It's located close enough to La Fortuna to take advantage of the main attractions around town, but then drive back to your own peaceful, secluded paradise. Agustin, the innkeeper, is very friendly and helpful. He made sure there were two cold beers in our mini fridge to welcome us when we got there. He had good insight on what to do and where to go if you were interested in more off-the-beaten path activities, which my boyfriend and I are. When we wanted to be typical tourists and take advantage of the hot springs around town, he recommended and made us a reservation at Eco Termales, a much less crowded hot spring that was perfect after a long day hiking. For the 3 nights we were there, we woke to a traditional delicious Costa Rican breakfast and strong smooth coffee. After our day out around Arenal, we'd return to soak in the hot tub and listen for the birds and howler monkeys. The rooms are clean and basic and everything we needed. A large shower I was nervous when I saw that there was no air conditioning, but on the first night realized it wasn't necessary because we were high enough on the mountain that the nights were quite cool. I can't recommend this place enough and would love to return on our next trip to Costa Rica.

Como llegar a la propiedad:
Viaje al oeste de La Fortuna hacia el Lago Arenal, pasando por aguas termales de Tabacón Resort y, a una "T" en el camino a una pequeña estación de policía. A su vez el teniente (sur) en el camino de grava y siga las indicaciones a muchos a El Castillo y Linda Vista Steak House. El próximo "T", justo después de la Parque Nacional Volcán Arenal. a su vez el teniente (oeste) en el "Nepenthe" signo, seguir hasta cruzar el puente sobre el río, girar a la Ruta. ("Nepenthe") signo. Continuar más allá de la entrada de Linda Vista hasta que en la izquierda se ve a los otros "Nepenthe" signo, a su vez el teniente de la colina hasta llegar a Nepenthe. El camino de ripio que lleva a través de la selva, la selva tropical, a lo largo de la orilla del lago Arneal ya lo largo de la base del Volcán Arenal.

Seguir las indicaciones hacia / desde el aeropuerto de mapas. Usted viajará hacia el norte por San Ramón y varios otros pequeños pueblos hasta llegar a La Fortuna. Nosotros recomendamos un coche 4WD, ya sea de propiedad privada o alquilada. Los últimos 10 km de La Fortuna es un camino de grava, y Nepenthe se encuentra muy por encima de El Castillo. Además, no hay transporte público y los taxis son caros y no es conveniente para moverse a las distintas atracciones.
