My husband and I really loved our visit to this B&B this past President's Day, 2/16/15.. Our room, 411, was marvelous. The screened porch with wicker seating was fantastic with the thoughtful touch of providing a throw for our comfort. The pot belly stove heater really made the room. Except for a bit of dark grout around the tub, everything was immaculate. With the room situated on the second floor over the breakfast area, I anticipated that there would be noise associated with breakfast. Didn't happen. All was quiet as a mouse. Love this B&B and its ambiance.
We really enjoyed our stay at Camp Comfortable. Comfortable beds, nice linens, amazing bathtub, comfortable chairs for lounging. Good selection of things to eat for breakfast, yogurts, fresh fruit, Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, etc.
We truly enjoyed the hospitality, food and wonderful accommodations at Magnolia Bed and Breakfast. We highly recommend staying here; it is all one could ever want in a B & B.
Every January for the past 4 years we have stayed at the Magnolia House in Fredericksburg to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We keep going back to the Magnolia House because of the great accommodations and wonderful feeling of being a guest in this 5 Star B&B. Claude and Lisa really make you feel at home and are terrific hosts. In addition, we always enjoy meeting and visiting with the other guests. If you are looking for a B&B in Fredericksburg, Texas, the Magnolia House is by far your best choice.
My husband and I were looking to get away for a few days and we headed to Camp Comfort -- having learned about it from some friends of ours that had stayed and loved it. What a lovely place! It was comfy and clean with attention paid to every cool detail of the space -- the rooms and Social Hall and grounds. Fire pits ready to go with S'more kits waiting to be grabbed whenever you want them from the Social Hall. The owners are on-site and friendly, obviously there tending to the place -- making sure that everyone has what they need -- but they make a point of being discrete and staying out of sight, for the most part. You really feel like you have the place to yourself. We stayed in the Cabin (#5) for a little extra privacy and it was perfect. It had a nice-sized deck that overlooked Cypress Creek in lieu of an inside seating area that you get in the Alley Rooms, but that was perfect for us. The town of Comfort is small but pretty. Lots of historic buildings kept in good shape. Comfort Pizza was excellent! Delicious pizza, great beers. High's Cafe and Store wasn't fancy or particularly warm and inviting when we went for lunch, but the Cold Meatloaf sandwich was pretty good. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. My husband and I had a lovely time! I'd definitely recommend it. I can't wait to see it in the Spring or Summer. We'll definitely be back!
What a wonderful experience! The breakfast, the rooms, the atmosphere, the awesome owners! All of this made a very enjoyable stay. Claude and Lisa are great ambassadors for the city. They have all of the information about, restaurants, places to see and special events. Very enjoyable stay. The bed is very comfortable and the sheets are so soft! They are for sale, I bought a set!!
my daughters and I had a very nice time and visit, especially there.great experience for all of us since we have never stayed in an bed and breackfast.truly far exceeds spending any time in a hotel or motel.thankyou again.the girls in my office are looking forward to their stay when they are presented with a gift certificate.well worth it.
This place was an amazing surprise! In a small, (very small) picturesque town in the middle of Texas Hill Country, the most perfect design job - - like the Ace Hotel's country cousin. The proprietors couldn't have been nicer. I wish we could have stayed longer!
I was staying there for six nights, loved my room, Lisa and Claude couldn't have been any better hosts. They are very talented, the food was superb and their advice was right on. I was by-my-self and they made me feel well cared for. I definitely will be back!
This was our first trip to Fredericksburg, so we took a chance on booking without knowing. We definitely made an excellent choice. As far as B&Bs go, I can't imagine having a better experience. Claude was very nice, and made a fantastic breakfast. The house was pleasantly decorated for the holiday, and was immaculately clean. We would certainly stay at Magnolia again
We never would have considered Comfort as a destination until we came across Camp Comfort. Everything here has a wow factor. The setting is fantastic, the courtyard and landscaping are inviting, the rooms are perfectly decorated, the furnishings are comfortable, and the tub/shower are phenomenal. We stayed for two nights and stayed right up to check out time...dragging ourselves out of the room only because we had to return to reality. Comfort is a fun town to visit, but Camp Comfort is what will draw us back.
Our first stay at a B&B. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were really nice and everything was so clean They thought of everything. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed meeting with the other guests.
My husband and I spent three perfect nights at the Magnolia house. Lisa greeted us on arrival and made made us feel right at home. And breakfast...Claude is amazing. Breakfast was simply delicious. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite (has a private entrance) which was very roomy and comfortable, with a separate sitting area and fireplace. Very romantic. Lisa and Claude think of everything, down to a medicine cabinet and a list of restaurants open on Sunday. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the Magnolia House to others.
What a great gem we found! Everything was perfect and my wife and I can't wait to go back. We just grabbed a room the night before for a spontaneous getaway and loved everything about it. The service is great, the decor is perfect, the breakfast was so tasty, the location is beautiful. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay somewhere in area.
