Tudor Rose Bed & Breakfast and Chalets

Just returned from a 2 day stay at the Tudor Rose. We had a great time. Not only is the home attractive on the outside, but the inside is beautiful. Very warm and inviting. Jon and Terre' are great hosts and fantastic cooks, the 2 breakfasts we had exceeded our expectations. Would I recommend the Tudor Rose you bet I would. If your looking for a relaxing escape in a beautiful setting head on down to the Tudor Rose

We bought a living social deal for a nice get away. I was just expecting a nice weekend with my husband but we got way more than that. The owners were wonderful and pleasant, out room was perfect and the bed was so comfy. The views all around we're excellent! We will be back!

The Tudor Rose was a beautiful paradise in the Colorado Rockies! I would highly recommend this experience to any one who is staying in the area. There were beautiful hiking trails, very close to town, yet you feel secluded in nature. The views from the Chalet were phenomenal! Terre` was a delight and extremely accommodating and helpful!

We spend the weekend at The Tudor Rose and it exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was perfect,great room,awesome hot tub and well kept house. John and Terre were the perfect host! We will be back. Its 5 stars!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Tudor Rose for only one night as we were just passing through town on our journey to the Four Corner States and Santa Fe, NM. Our hosts were warm and attentive and made us feel as if we were their only guests, which we were not. Our acomodation was spotless and the beds were very cozy and inviting. The shower was enormous. Breakfast was home made stuffed French toast, fresh fruit, juice, milk and plenty of coffee. Coffee and cookies were available in the evening. My only regret is that we didn't have a lengthier stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at the delightful & very pretty Tudor Rose B&B! Located in a beautiful & serene mountain area, the Tudor Rose has great owners, great service, and is the perfect place to explore Salida's many hiking/skiing, and vibrant arts offerings.

A group of 9 women got together for a girls only weekend. We stayed in two Chalets to escape home life for a few days. The Chalets were VERY comfortable and worked out great for all of us. Everything was so clean, so comfortable and we wanted for nothing - except help with working the Dish TV!!! Thank you Jon! It is a lovely area with beautiful views. We spent time in Salida shopping the great little stores and watching the games at the Boathouse! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Truly a charmed visit with beautiful snow capped mountain views. Loved the chalet and all the amenities. Highly recommend this property.

We did not dine at the bed & breakfast, as we stayed in a chalet. Chalet #1 was beautiful. Our hosts were very nice. We had a slight leak at the kitchen sink and it was fixed immediately. The loft was wonderful and the layout was perfect for 3 people. Might want to consider a trip to IKEA for a few things for the kitchen, such as a potato masher, coffee scoop, dish rags (we had dish towels only), etc. Could also use an extra roll of paper towels, some sugar/sweetener and other traditional things in the kitchen in case the guests want to cook. Salt and pepper was all that was there. We did enjoy our time just to rest and relax.

This suite was luxurious! After driving all day, arriving here and settling into our room was heavenly. The hot tub was beautiful, and very relaxing. It was a very quiet and peaceful setting. Our hosts and the other guests were friendly and fun to talk with. And breakfast...wow! It was a gourmet meal! Loved this place!

Thank you so much for making our 15th anniversary one to remember. We enjoyed our stay so much. The breakfasts were amazing. We couldn't wait to go upstairs to see what was prepared for us that morning. The warm cookies in the afternoon after sitting in your hot tub made us feel so relaxed after our morning hike. Found this Gem online, Came in from Calif. for a 2 day dirt bike ride. Not knowing the area I did a little research and booked one of the Chalets. This place is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable get away from it all kind of place ! If I ever get close to Salida and need a place to stay I will definitely be calling Tudor Rose.

This place completely exceeded all my expectations. We rode our motorcycle all day and were completely worn out, praying the place would be clean and comfortable. It was all that and so much more. The feather bed was the most comfy bed I've ever slept in and the breakfast was out of this world. I highly recommend this place. You won't be let down. The hot tub outside was a great surprise as well! We will certainly be back soon.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an excellent time. The Tudor Rose is far enough away from the city that you feel like you are "away from it all" yet close enough that you are able to go back and forth quickly. The property and house are absolutely beautiful! The breakfasts were delicious and filling. Our hosts also provided wonderful afternoon snacks as well. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our (too short) stay at Tudor Rose. It's quiet, peaceful, and breakfast was fabulous. We will definitely come back!

Celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary along with two of our horses at the Tudor Rose. Found the rooms to be quite nice, the breakfast to be exceptional and the horse facilities to be very clean, secure and spacious. The hosts were very helpful giving suggestions and directions. Will visit again before long and found everything as represented. No surprises.

To celebrate our anniversary we wanted a place that was quiet and had a great view of the area. We found this treasure in Salida, Colorado! the Tudor Rose B&B was everything we wanted. The room as big and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was WONDERFUL! We will return to this beautiful place!

We were very pleased with our decision to stay at the Tudor Rose. Initially, we were apprehensive about staying in a bed & breakfast. But were were pleasantly surprised with the friendly service and great breakfast. They have a large property that guests can explore, a great view of the mountains and an excellent deck for relaxing. We stayed in the Blue Room and enjoyed it very much. It had a private bath and sink which was nice. Jon & Terre were also very helpful in find things to do in Salida. Overall this is a great place to stay. I would go back there in a heartbeat. Salida is a beautiful city as well.

It was surprisingly clean and breakfast was excellent. My only complaint is that the owners were a bit off-putting at times. We ordered pizza and they got our delivery wrong and had to return when they rang the doorbell the owner seemed angry to be unnecessarily disturbed. He made us feel uneasy. We had packed our bags for three trips back to back with more cloths than we could keep up with and had difficulty keeping our room neat after long days of skiing. The owners informed our friends that our beds were unable to be made one day because " there was stuff everywhere". I was mortified when that friend announced it to the group. That was pretty unprofessional in my opinion. Other than those two encounters they were quite pleasant and hospitable. I would recommend staying there to others although, after my experience, I wouldn't do it again.

We are sorry that this group of seven had an uncomfortable experience. We were suprised by the late night doorbell and orginally thought it might be someone looking for a room or a guest that had forgotten their key. Once everyone got settled with their pizza, all seemed well. We also take pride in our housekeeping staff and their efforts to clean during a guest's stay and we apologize if we miscommunicated our concerns. We have a strict policy on not touching or moving our guest's personal items and we wanted to communicate our difficulties in being able to make up the rooms properly. As always, we appreciate any and all comments from guests that allow us to continually improve the B&B experience

The Tudor Rose was my first B & B experience. Everything was nice. We only had one issue, the hot water ran out after 2 of the 3 of us showered. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Jon and Terre make your getaway the best the west has to offer from great accomadations, excellant breakfasts and very helpful facts on the local sites and places to eat as well as the best areas to take your horses to view the west as it should be seen, on horseback.

My wife and I recently stayed at this place summer 2007. We booked one the loft chalets.We had privacy,spectacular views and plenty of hiking right on site.We felt as if we were deep in the mountains yet we were minutes from town.The place is perfect!
