The room was very comfortable and well kept. The location is terrific as it is only about a 4 block walk to the boardwalk. The breakfast was disappointing as the food is mostly packaged options. But overall I would say this was better than the other local motels.
Tranquil, refreshing, clean, perfectly eloquent. This was our first "empty nest" vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Rhythm of the Sea. The location could not be better: directly across the street from the beach, yet just a quick bike ride or walk away from charming downtown Cape May. Breakfasts were full breakfasts, not just a croissant and coffee. They were very, very delicious and varied from day to day. Bikes, beach chairs and beach towels are provided. (It's the little things like that on vacation that are so great!) Our favorite was sitting on the front porch, coffee in hand and watching Cape May "wake up" while we were waiting for breakfast to be served. Each day after breakfast we returned to our room to find our beds freshly made and the room cleaned up. (Be sure to tip your housekeeping staff ... they do a great job.) We WILL be back!
This property is beautifully kept. It has a very warm feel. Super clean. I stayed on the top floor in a very comfortable room. I loved that they had beach chairs and an enclosed outdoor shower. I would most definitely stay there again.
So you get to Cape May and there's a hotel/B&B on every corner, BUT this is the bee's knees! Vince goes out of his way to make sure your stay is beyond excellent. You show up/ check in and the guy is on point with his tutorial, no funny business. Lets talk about the room, it's clean, A/C, Bathroom and parking spot. There is multiple fridges in the B&B for your "stuff." There is an outdoor shower available for you as well. NOW the BEST FOR LAST, BREAKFAST! AMAZING!!! Stay here if you want the best experience. Last but least, Vince well tell you anything and everything about the town, where to eat and how much you want to spend. Ask him questions, great job guys!
We loved staying at Twin Gables, Regina was a gracious host and we enjoyed our stay. Loved eating breakfast on the veranda. The breakfast were delicious and filling. Definitely recommend this B&B. Kathy & Sandy from Pottstown, PA
My wife and I had a great stay here in July. Leslie and Vince were very kind and accommodating, breakfast was amazing, the room was spacious and comfortable and the home is centrally located just a block from the beach and convenient to all of the shops and restaurants on the Washington Street mall. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to returning ourselves!
We have been staying at the Scarborogh Inn for the past 3 years. We continue to come back due to excellent sercice, great rooms and very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast that is included with the stay is always good and a good selection ( the waffles are always a hit), afteroon tea and snacks are good too. So close we walk to the beach, boardwalk and resturants. We park the car and don't need to use it until it's time to leave. We highly recommend this Inn to anyone we talk to about staying in Ocean City, NJ
I loved this place! Booked a small queen, whirlpool room for my birthday weekend. I loved the privacy & coziness. Even enjoyed a movie from their classic VHS collection in the hallway. They were kind enough to mail me the Polaroid camera I left in the room. I appreciate their efforts, especially during their busy season! I look forward to visiting again in the future.
Another long weekend to celebrate the 4th of July, has passed. It is very comforting to know that after visiting Cape May for the last twenty-one years that we found this treasure. This will mark the eighth time we have booked into the Mooring and continue to enjoy a pleasurable experience. Bothe Leslie and Vince are so accommodating and solicitous, it's almost like staying with family, without any arguments. Recommend this B&B to anyone considering a stay in Cape May, on every level.
We loved the owners/managers Cynthia and Robert! They upgraded our room for our anniversary. The room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, great time!!! Walking distance to everthing!
I booked our two night stay for our 54th anniversary and I was not disappointed. Wanda and Mike were wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were wonderful and the other guests were very enjoyable to talk with. The room was very nice and the town was as clean as a pin. We are no longer beach people, but there are other things to do like sightseeing or whale watching and also shopping. There are also many good places to eat. Loved it.
Once again, this is our favorite trip of the year. The Mission Inn is first class all the way. Ray and Susan, the innkeepers, go above and beyond to make all guests feel like family. They provide so much more than other B&Bs. Gourmet breakfasts every morning - never duplicated in the 6 years we've been going. Rooms are exquisite. Kitchen is available and stocked 24/7 (tea, lemonade, wine, soda, baked goods). They provide afternoon snacks - a selection of hot and cold. They provide bikes, beach chairs, beach tags, umbrellas - and you can also get an umbrella and beach chairs at the beach - for free - just show your room key. The Mission Inn is one block off the beach, easy walk to town and lots of places to eat and shop. Enjoy - we do!
My husband and I were so tremendously impressed by the level of service provided by our hosts Susan and Ray and their wonderful chef Leslie. We enjoyed our 3 night stay immensely! Beds were comfortable; the common areas of this home are big and breezy; and the homemade farm-to-table breakfasts on the beautiful veranda are luscious! We were surrounded by nature---the colorful gardens, gentle breezes, sounds of the ocean. Susan and Ray were the perfect hosts: Susan provided an important comprehensive welcome tour that included showing us the locations of the complimentary bikes; all of the complimentary 24 hour beverages and homemade cookies (jar was never empty!); games/puzzles; and tour guide books. The breakfasts were sumptuous and served hot out of the kitchen by their friendly chef Leslie. We had a wonderful bacon/arugula/peach grilled sandwich on whole grain toast one morning and a cherry clafouti (like a cobbler) that were some of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. Each morning began with fresh seasonal fruit and unlimited coffees and juices. Ray and Susan were both available during our weekend breakfasts with a kind word and tips about the locale. They struck the perfect balance between host, tour guide, and concierge and now we are pleased to call them friends. They have thought of everything, leaving no detail regarding their guests' comfort to chance and, unbelievably, they make it look effortless! Hats off to you Susan and Ray! This beautiful establishment is only a stone's throw from the beach and an easy bike ride to town (with complimentary bikes!) We'll certainly be going back. Thank you Susan and Ray!
The Queen Victoria is a superb bed and breakfast! We have been vacationing in Cape May for over 25 years and The Queen Victoria is the most amazing place in Cape May. Everything about this Inn is spectacular - the atmosphere, the InnKeepers, the location, the food, the rooms, the amenities!
This B&B was very cute and charming. The continental breakfast was convenient since it was served from 9-11, but I got tired of the same selection after the 3rd day. The only complaint about the room was that the water pressure in the shower was very poor and trickled out of the head seemingly when others were showering - so timing was key to even be able to use the shower.
The lady who works the front is the daughter of the former owners. She was very nice and helpful. The room was nice in its own funky way. The bed was not comfortable, however, and the onsite dining didn't exist due to various reasons. So there was the bed, but breakfast was at another site. Otherwise it was a nice stay.
I went to Rhythm of the Sea in Cape May with my parents for a short break and we had a very enjoyable stay. The manager, Misty, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed long afternoons on the porch with delicious lemonade and baked goods. I would highly recommend this interesting place, right on the seafront, as a great base for exploring Cape May.
