This was my first stay at Grey Gables. The location is convenient walking distance to the main shops and restaurants in Sutter Creek. The accommodations and setting were very nice. Excellent service and a good breakfast. Grey Gables will go onto my list of top B&B's and my husband and I will definitely return.

We've stayed at many B&B's over the years. This one was really outstanding in a lot of ways. We booked the least expensive room and expected "cozy" to mean small. The room was really large and well appointed. (My only disappointment was that the mattress wasn't very comfortable for me). They serve a generous serving of cake and tea in the afternoon and wine and cheese in the evening. A full breakfast was served in the morning. It was outstanding! The hosts went out of their way to please. As for location, this B&B is close enough to main street to walk there in just a couple of minutes but it's off main street so it's nice and quiet at night. Overall, I have to give it a two thumbs up and we plan on visiting again for sure. We would most definately recommend to a friend.

My wife and I and two other couples stayed here last weekend and had a wonderful time. Our host, Roger and Sue were exceptional. So friendly and always there to help out with any needs. Such a joy to talk with. All the rooms, plus dining room and the sitting room were 5 star and we felt like we were living in another time. The inn and each room are beautifully decorated with beautiful colors and wonderful wall paper borders. Tea time was fun as was the wine and cheese at night time. The breakfasts were wonderful and tasty. Lots of restaurants close by and downtown was within walking distance. Staying here can definitely spoil you and we will return for another visit. Highly recommend this B&B for a place to relax and enjoy.

In our experience there aren't enough stars to rate Grey Gables highly enough! We have been staying for 16 years now and have never once been anything but delighted with our stay. The facility itself is spotless and exquisite, breakfast is elegant, wonderful wines at 6pm bring the most interesting assortment of guests together....and what makes it all together what it is are the owners, Sue & Roger Garlick. They are a delight!

This was our 2nd visit to Grey Gables and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms we have stayed in are beautiful and clean. The breakfasts are delicious. Tea at 3p and wine at 6p is a great time to talk to other visitors and share stories about wineries and places to eat.

We live in Sonoma wine country and decided to visit Amador county. Roger and Sue, the owners of Grey Gables in Sutter Creek were gracious hosts, the rooms were great and breakfast awesome. We will go back!

We stayed two nights at The Grey Gables Inn in Sutter Creek, CA. We celebrated our 20th anniversary while there and the experience was a delight. The owner/hosts go beyond the expectation. We enjoyed afternoon tea and early evening wine and cheese. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. We recommend Grey Gables highly and if ever have the chance, we will return and stay there again. Next time it will be between Thursday-Sunday because the town of Sutter Creek has many businesses that are closed Mon-Wednesday.
