Wonderful place to stay! The cabin was beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous and the stay is very friendly and helpful. Paul called us with the dessert menu for a couple of nearby restaurants so we could decide where to go. The inn is walking distance to shops, restaurants and the lake. The breakfast was delicious!!! We definitely will be back.

We got married at the Black Bear and have returned several times. The setting is beautiful and the rooms are all great. The service is awesome and they always make us feel like we're home

This is a great B&B: the staff is wonderful and efficient, the location is perfect, the place is clean, safe, and comfortable, and the food was delicious! Thank you, Jerry and Kevin, for a wonderful experience!

Excellent service: the owners and staff are friendly, helpful, easy-going, hospitable; the breakfasts are OUTSTANDING - we were there on New Years Day and they did a special white table cloth, mimosas, etc. but every morning was special and absolutely delicious. Each room had it's own fireplace so you could regulate your own heat; rooms are homey and comfortable; the Inn is beautifully designed, rustic and elegant. We'll definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at The Black Bear Inn this Christmas. Jerry, Kevin and Paul were excellent hosts, and the food was outstanding. We especially enjoyed the wine tasting in the afternoons, meeting several of the quests and sharing stories of skiing the slopes at Heavenly or finding a great place for dinner. My husband and I stayed at the Black Bear in for a wonderful 4 nights at the end of December. The cabins were beautiful and all had their own fireplaces - which were really nice during the snow storms. Kevin and Jerry really go all out with their Ralph Lauren and Western decorating style in each of the cabins and around the entire site. The hot tub and robes were fantastic and therapeutic in the cold weather after a day of Skiing and so was the wine and cheese each night before we went out for dinner. Kevin and Jerry cooked the best and most unique breakfasts each morning. The food was first class! The table was also set differently each morning. Very cute! Some other Perks: The B&B is in a very convenient location to great restaurants and the Heavenly ski resort. Parking is free, unlike many of the other hotels in the area. The B&B had DVD players in the rooms and an extensive DVD collection that you borrow from.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was cozy and rustic. We especially liked the bathroom, with extra-large shower. The fireplace in the room was romantic, and the spa was rejuvenating. The bird life in the trees on the grounds was spectacular. We even identified a new species. We would love to see a hammock added for the seasons it would be appropriate for.
