The Bed & Breakfast Inn At La Jolla

Went here for a quick romantic getaway. The Grounds were absolutely gorgeous. I loved the location, so close to the village but still quiet. The three course every morning was marvelous, not to mention the array of fine cheese during the afternoons. The staff was always friendly and happy to help but not overwhelming. We had a great time and are sure to be back again and again and again.

This is my favorite place to stay San Diego. I have stayed there several times over the last few years and every time I reserve a different room. My favorite room so far is the Pacific View room. It was just like something you would see in the Costal Living magazine. We opened the windows while we slept and the ocean breeze was so refreshing to wake up to. The breakfast is always different and always good, but my favorite part is their homemade granola. I even purchase bags to take home with me. I put it on everything, yogurt, ice cream, milk and sometimes I just eat it by the handful. It is my way of taking a little bit of the experience home. I'm almost out, I guess I better start planning my next visit.

Having traveled extensively throughout the world on business and stayed in hotels where each new room was merely a photocopy of the last, imagine my surprise to discover the Bed & Breakfast Inn at La Jolla where I spent two wonderful nights on my visit to California from Britain. Eloquence, comfort, exceptional food, exemplary service. You might be forgiven for missing the entrance to the Inn on Draper St. since its understated exterior belies the beauty and opulance within. The Innkeeper gave me a tour of all fifteen rooms which comprise this real 'jewel' of La Jolla. Each room is distinct in theme and decor, with an attention to detail which is all but extinct in the industry of mass accommodation. Each morning I sat down to a wonderful homemade breakfast which made lunch completely unnecessary. So, I ate well. I slept well in quiet, tasteful luxury. Did I mention that it is impeccably clean? Large, impersonal hotels in this area are no longer an option.

I took my husband there for the fourth of July weekend. It was the most beautiful room and was a close walk to all of the restaurants and shops without. On the evening of the fourth we not only saw the fireworks at the cove from our balcony but also 2 other shows from the surrounding areas. We woke in the morning from one of the best sleeps we've had in a long time and walked the block to the beach and La Jolla Cove. The breakfast was delicious and perfectly portioned. The staff made our stay even more special. Always with a smile. It honestly is the best vacation so much so that we have made a promise that every few months we are going to come back for the weekend to recharge and relax. I would recommend The Bed and Breakfast Inn at La Jolla to everyone. It is now the only place we will stay in San Diego- ever!!

My wife surprised me for my 30th birthday with a three night getaway in the penthouse at the Bed and Breakfast at La Jolla. The room was amazing with tons of privacy, a huge private deck to ourselves where we watched three 4th of July fireworks displays in almost a 360 degree view which was pretty amazing. The staff at the bed and breakfast are the nicest people you'll ever meet as well and the breakfast is almost to much to describe...unbeatable. After breakfasts you're a stones throw from some of the coolest beaches I've seen in SoCal with ocean caves, seals, sea lions and tide pools. A great stay!

My girlfriend and I were able to get away from Los Angeles last weekend and were lucky enough to find the perfect beach location to experience San Diego & La Jolla. The inn was on a serene side street but only a few minutes walk to everything in downtown La Jolla. Even with all of the walking we did everywhere, it still felt like such a relaxing weekend. Our room was beautiful and the perfect place to sink into after a day of beach, zoo, great food and everything else we tried to fit into the weekend. All while relaxing, mind you! What we can't stop talking about are the breakfasts. Stuffed French Toast, Quiche, delicious fresh fruit dishes and great coffee. If you get a chance, take a glass of the sherry from your room out to the garden at night and enjoy the perfect end to a perfect day. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff was smiling and gracious and they really know how to make you feel comfortable.

The staff was great and the Garden Room was incredible. Walking distance to everything in La Jolla. Great time and the coffee was pretty good too!

I stayed here for my 40th birthday & Jenna you were great thanks so much for everything! I said in the garden room & it was great with the fireplace that had firewood easily available. And the Clawfoot bath AWWW is all I can say about that one.. Breakfast mmm Jenna again thanks for being a great cook!!

The tranquility of the Inn and it's gardens made our visit heaven. All the special touches in decor, menu and hospitality made us want to return soon.

The inn and our room were charming! The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful - greatly exceeding my expectations!

We just returned from three nights at the Inn. Although we had only planned on staying for two nights, we extended our visit because our stay had been so enjoyable. The environment is warm and relaxing. The service was perfect from helping us to find medical attention for sore backs to supplying me with continuous ice packs. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was delicious. We appreciated early coffee being available before breakfast was served. We would definatly return for the beauty of LaJOlla and the comfort we felt as guests at the Inn.

We just spent a weekend in the Holiday Suite at the Bed & Breakfast Inn at La Jolla. It was one of the loveliest rooms we have ever stayed in. Because it was my birthday, the innkeeper had left chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne in the room. The beautiful antique furnishings with mostly white upholstery and linens gave the room a tranquil feel, while the crackling fire in the fireplace and antique lamps gave the room warmth. The room was quite spacious, and the inn was conveniently located in the La Jolla triangle across from the Museum of Contemporary Art. We were in easy walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The inn offered wine and cheese between five and six each evening and had two or three seating time choices for breakfast . Although it was too cold to sit outside in December, there was a lovely little patio where people could sit and eat during warmer seasons. This is definitely a place we would visit again.
