Our romantic getaway to gold country coincided with the 75th birthday party of the St. George bartender. Volcano, an otherwise quiet sleeper town, lit up as everyone gathered to celebrate. We joined the festivities, which only contributed to our already wonderful experience. I highly recommendable choosing a stay St. George in Volcano!

Enjoyed everything about our stay at this B&B. The service was superb. Peter went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great! Amador City is a quaint town that has everything to offer for a weekend away.

Truly enjoyed the stay at the Historic Hotel in Amador City. The staff were very accommodating and the two breakfast that we enjoyed a the hotel were absolutely delicious! The rooms are large and well-appointed. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and meditating before starting my day. We were able to get out to Lodi to go sky-diving and the hotel is centrally located to enjoy wine-tasting at vineyards in the vicinity of Plymouth and tasting rooms in Sutter Creek!. Also enjoyed a side trip to the Black Chasm Cavern. Perfect get away!

Wonderful hideaway, cozy and charming but not fancy, in California gold country and most reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast in the area. Easily accessible from Sacramento. Near wineries as well as historic and natural attractions and easy drive to Kirkwood ski area. Dinner was exceptional and breakfasts definitely met our expectations...including dietary needs/restrictions. Owner Mary Ann and bartender/manager Pete go out of their way to provide outstanding service. All staff are very friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Room #4 is our favorite and bed has recently been upgraded and was VERY comfortable.

We enjoyed a wonderful getaway. The hotel could use a little updating. Just some painting of railings, etc. and now days beds are getting a lot of attention, however the beds showed wear as there were humps. The linens were very nice however and we did have towel warmers with bath towels. The breakfast that was included was delicious however the portions were small. Very cozy.

We stayed last weekend in the only room that had 2 beds. However, the staff had not made the room with 2 beds, so we had to wait while the room was remade. Nice room, no TV, and clean bathroom with good shower. The dining room fare was touted as being great, but was only OK. It was a little pricey for the quality and not worth the price. I'd eat somewhere else next time. Staff was nice and welcoming.

Quaint spot right on the small main street of Amador City. Great people and service. The rooms with the balcony look right down the main street although you get a tad bit of road noise in the morning, but not so bad. Clean and full of character. We ended up staying an extra night.

Truly enjoyed staying here for our most recent trip to Foot Hills wine country. Our room was nice, but not near as nice as others we saw that were already reserved. One has to remember it's a 1870's building. Wonderful food. Lovely patio and bar. Would definitely stay there again.
