I've stayed at Imperial Hotel twice now. This time my husband and I booked one of the rooms with direct access to the balcony. It was the perfect get away from our busy lives. Quite and private, we enjoyed napping in the afternoons, reading in the mornings, dining on DELICIOUS treats from the restaurant. We'll be staying there, again!, in the future!

Both the tiny town and this historic hotel recall late 1800's California gold rush days. Both are charming and welcoming. The hotel floors are original and they squeak. But the hospitality is genuine and the rooms delightful. The attractive dining room provides a pleasant space for breakfast and dinner. And yes, the food is good.

Wonderful experience staying at the Imperial Hotel - great dining experience and wonderful service. Peter the bar tender is always a good host and has lots of unique perspectives and shares the local history too. The surroundings are quaint and the neighborhood is something to come home too. We will be back!

This hotel is very charming, but doesn't feel outdated at all. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back!

We have stayed at this historic hotel before and really enjoy going there. The ambiance of older historic buildings is wonderful. We stayed in room 1 which is the only one with a separate day bed for sleeping as well as direct access to the 2nd floor balcony. The young man at the bar and restaurant is very courteous and personable and truly cares about the customers. We didn't find the iwner to be very friendly or accomodating though. The rest of the staff were wonderful. Would stay there again.

It was a wonderful place to stay. It felt like we took a step back in time a true get away from the hustle bustle of it all. The breakfast included with the stay was fabulous. All of the staff were friendly, professional and welcoming.

We always so enjoy the historic hotels with their unique ambiance and great stories. The personnel were very friendly and accomodating. We ate dinner at their restaurant and food was wonderful. It included a full breakfast with the cost of the room. Loved the balcony on the second floor where the rooms are located. Would definitely recommend it to those who love the historic places.

The cottage room was clean and well kept. There is no cable and the dvds that were suppose to be available were mainly empty cases. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine. The layout is a bit funky but were just needed a place to sleep after a day of wine tasting and this room was perfect for that. An added benefit is that you can have dinner at the Imperial, walk a block to your room and then return to the Imperial for a wonderful breakfast (included in the price of the room). The room was a good value and we will return. The staff was very helpful.

The "El Nino" special offering in February was a lovely one night get-away. Would have stayed two nights but no availability. We have always enjoyed the European bed & breakfast style of offering dinner to guests. The special last week, a reduced mid-week price for room, dinner and breakfast was an exceptional find. Cocktails at the rustic bar, aptly designed and poured by Mary Ann, followed by a three course meal of any selection on the menu and a quiet evening of frogs "singing" us to sleep took us back to a time that one rarely finds in contemporary society. Thank you, Imperial Hotel!
