My husband and I stayed at Casa Bella Sera for our anniversary. We had no idea when we made our reservation that we struck gold! As soon as we drove up we knew we were in for something special. This is not a "Bed and Breakfast", but a "Home Stay". You are the guests of John and Valerie in their beautiful home. Everything inside and out is immaculate and you are made to feel so welcome. It was like visiting family. When you drive up, John has a flag flying out in front from your home state, just another thoughtful touch to make each guest feel special. An added bonus to staying here is John and Valerie's dog Coco, she will capture your heart. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay at Casa Bella Sera.

Casa Bella Sera is simply amazing! I feel that a Homestay B&B requires special kind of hosts for it to be successful over the long haul. There has to be chemistry between the hosting couple and they have to genuinely love to do what they do. I can say without any reservations that John and Valerie are that special kind of couple. They are incredibly sweet, attentive, helpful, clean, and responsible. Their cute little Yorkie dog "Coco" is the cherry on top! :) The guest bedrooms (we stayed in the Napoli room) have flat-screen TV's w/FIOS cable, complementary snack-baskets, complementary WIFI, large walk-in closets, and double-french doors that open into their beautiful tuscan inspired rear patio. The bedrooms are even stocked with a pair wine glasses incase you decide to bring a bottle back with you from wine country! I really can't say enough about breakfast other than that it was my favorite part. Upon check-in, John and Valerie provide you with a very practical breakfast check-list with food choices you would like to have the next morning and the time you would like to have them at. Your mornings will start with the delicious aromas of pancakes, sausages, eggs (or what ever else you chose) being freshly prepared as you prepare yourself for your day. However, what makes breakfast so special is not the freshly prepared breakfast itself, nor the beautiful glass glare used, nor even the bubbly almond/orange champagne mimosas; ...what makes breakfast so special is the personal touch that John and Valerie add to your mornings as they prepare your meal. Their stories, anecdotes, and conversation is what makes their Homestay B&B such an amazingly enjoyable human experience; and that's something that no other hotel or typical B&B can match. John and Valerie have something very special, and my wife and I will definitely be back to Casa Bella Sera for our next weekend wine-tasting getaway to Temecula. Cheers!

We can vouch for all the wonderful comments posted here. John and Valerie have a beautiful, spotless home, and they make you feel like you're staying with family (without any of the issues - ha!). John put out a Texas flag for our arrival, and they made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their home is spacious and warming, and close to everything you'd want to tour. We had so much fun sitting around the breakfast table chatting with them over a wonderful meal, and they gave us so much helpful information. We visted one of the "hot spot" resort/wineries, and while that was enjoyable, we were so glad to be staying at the relaxing Casa Bella Sera. You can't go wrong staying here!

I stayed here during the Labor Day W/End. For me, a single female traveler, it was much like dropping in on cherished relatives for a weekend stay. Beforehand, I indicated to John that I could be arriving earlier than the stated check-in time. But on the morning of the first day, John called to confirm my early arrival, just like an uncle would call me to make sure that I was on my way. That was only the beginning of the warm welcome that was extended to me throughout my stay. On evenings, when I came home from dinner, one or both, were in the family room watching TV, and as soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and inquiry about dinner. It's as if I walked into my own parents' home and met with the same greetings and banter. Now, that.....is.....special. Much earlier, when I was making my reservations, I spoke with John and requested that my room (Pisa) be exempted from turn-down service; at my arrival, I requested that my bathroom not be serviced during my stay. All of my requests were respected and honored; and it was because of that bit of privacy and the fact that my bathroom began to look like it was being "lived in", that I was able to relax, unplug, and feel very much at home. And truly, that was what this exhausted, frayed, little soul sorely needed: refuge, solace, peace, and quiet. Naturally, all things come to an end. On my departure, John and Valerie were catering to another couple, enjoying the delicious, hearty breakfast spread that John laid out. Still, both excused themselves and at the foyer, briefly chatted with with me and said goodbye. Are these family, or relatives, or long-time friends? None of the above. They are warm, attentive, enterprising folks who saw practical value in letting bedrooms, in the process, sharing their beautiful, showcase home and a little bit of themselves. Thank you so much John and Valerie! -- Agnes

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Bella Sera. The home is beautiful, warm and inviting. Not far from wineries, outlets, Old Town Temecula or Pechanga. Be careful, it's so relaxing you may sleep your vacation away...

Our Favorite Place to Stay My wife and I have stayed at Casa Bella Sera twice this year and enjoy it more each time we stay. The beds are fresh and comfortable, rooms are quite when you want it and all the rooms open to a side yard garden with bistro tables to sit where I catch up with my email and play video card games. They have free Wi-Fi anywhere on the property, even in the rear garden with a beautiful view of the Temecula Valley. All the guests were invited to view the Fourth of July fireworks right from their rear yard which could not be a better view. While we did not come here for the breakfast, it has been an added pleasure to have what I want rather than what other places thinks I might like. My wife and I had poached eggs over an English muffin with bacon and hash browns. The coffee bar had plenty of coffee to drink and as much orange juice to go around. The furnishings appear to be new to within 5 years and the bedrooms, bathrooms; the whole property is clean and up to date. It was a good experience to exchange places to eat and wineries to visit with the other guests in the common areas unlike hotels where you feel confined to your room. We won’t hesitate to stay at Casa Bella Sera next time we come to Temecula. The price is half other places, the accommodations can’t be beat and the hosts make you feel at home. Room Tip We have stayed in all the rooms and one is as nice as the other but if you are over 6’ tall you may want the PISA Queen Bed because you can hang your feet off the end of the bed, whereas, the NAPOLI King Bed has a foot board which may cause sleeping diagonally optional

I decided to book here to attend a wedding in Temecula after finding all of the surrounding hotels required multi-night stays. I trusted the number of good reviews and didn't think twice this is far from staying at a hotel. After reading some of the other reviews just now, I realized it may be a little weird to be staying at a stranger's house but I assure you having John and Valerie hosting this B&B was the best part. All amenities are just as the other reviews described. Beautifully furnished, spacious house that's located closer to the wineries than any nearby hotel. John's breakfast (especially the french toast) was excellent. I really enjoyed sitting around the kitchen as breakfast was being made and everyone discussed what there is to do around town to help me plan my free time. I would definitely come back again.

This was our first time at a home stay ever!! However, it doesn’t stop there. Walking into the establishment you notice the home’s attention to detail. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. It is neat, clean and well kept. That’s not all. The owners John and Valerie are engaging and attentive. They make every effort to make your stay pleasant and smooth. Their dog, Coco, is a wonderful addition to the package. Casa Bella Sera is an establishment that is built from the ground up to take care of its customers. They answer your questions. They help you to feel comfortable with the surroundings. They point out community resources to enjoy. Coco performs tricks. One has the option to have breakfast in or outside of the house. During that time, John and Valerie talk to you because you are a welcomed guest. You leave feeling joy in your hear and possess memories that will last a lifetime!! Thank you John and Valerie for making our first time in Temecula California wonderful!! Both of you have exceeded our expectations and never will be forgotten.

We were quite pleased to have chosen this B&B for our five days in the area. John and Valerie are gracious hosts and very accommodating. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. And it was very convenient to the dozens of winerys in Temecula. They have a pint-sized dog, Coco, a Yorkshire who was very affectionate and entertaining.

I highly recommend this lovely B&B. John & Valerie, the owners, are welcoming and considerate. They have an eye for detail and thoughtfully accommodate a guest's every need. The rooms are clean and beautiful, and have access to an outdoor sitting area. John's homemade breakfast is delicious. Their adorable Yorkie, Coco, also does her part to make guests feel welcome with her sweet nature & dog tricks. The perfect place to stay on your visit to Temecula.
