There are two things a bed and breakfast should get right: the beds and the breakfast. Jabberwock exceeded at both. The room was comfy and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there. The environment was fun, and caused us to spend more time at the Inn than we thought we would. Would love to go back again in the future if we ever get the opportunity.

The Jabberwock Inn proved to be a charming and delightful place to stay in Monterey Bay while celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The architecture, grounds, decor and ambiance created the perfect setting for a whimsical theme inspired by Through the Looking-Glass and a poem called Jabberwocky written by Lewis Carroll. The cool coastal breezes, ocean view and close proximity to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row made this a perfect location. The Inn Keepers were helpful, insightful and thoughtful in every way and the food was excellent. We highly recommend The Jabberwock Inn at Monterey Bay.

We are world travelers and because everything was sold out, we stayed there during the Monterey car week. In not a B&B person but this place was just perfect. Great location, really really good breakfast, one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, clean and cozy. If you will stay there, don't miss the 5 PM wine tasting & snacks. You get to hang out with the owners (really nice people) and other b&b guests. We made friends like that. I totally recommend and I'm looking forward to go back to this place

Loved this place. Rick and Susanne were the perfect hosts and made our stay feel like a home from home. Great Breakfast and freshly baked Cookies. I would highly recommend it.

Rick, Suzanne and the Jabberwock staff went above & beyond to make our stay memorable and very special. From brandy and warm cookies upon arrival to cocktail hour each evening, the experience was both relaxing and luxurious. Weeks later, we're still raving about what fun it was. We've wanted to stay at the Jabberwock for several years and can not wait to return for another weekend getaway before year's end.

The Jabberwock provided us with a whimsical and delightful place to stay while we enjoyed the beauty of the Monterey peninsula. Our room, though small, was cozy and comfortable with fantastic views of the bay. Breakfasts were fabulous. But the inn excels in creating an environment for enjoying relationships with other guests and the staff. We will be returning.

Dawn and John is very hospital and their house is a lovely kindom. Monterey is my favourite city in my whole trip and Jabberwock is my favourite hotel as well. The room($169/night) is a little bit small but has perfect view, when we wake up in the morning, cool winds came, bird sang, perfect morning. my husband and I love the stay experience here. The bad is able to adjust softness by left half and right half, the bath room has everything as my home, and I found thin bathrobe. Oh, the luxury breakfast, fruit juice home-made, fresh fruit and cake. Dawn and John not only run hotel business, they also take care your feeling as the family welcome.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Jabberwock B&B. The other rooms were very nice but our room, which did not have an attached bath, was a bit small for the price, $169/night. The breakfast was good and the owners were very hospitable and accommodating. My only issue was the price for a small room without an attached bath. So if you want to spend a little more ($200-309/night) you can get a room with the bathroom included, making the stay more comfortable.
Our largest room in the main house, the Borogove is the ultimate indulgence. An extraordinary king select comfort bed, a cozy fireplace, sitting area and private bath with Jacuzzi for two, this spacious room offers a magnificent view of the Monterey Bay. The Sofa is a Queen size sleeper as well.
Located on third floor together with the Wabe, this room has a private bath, glass enclosed shower, and a queen-sized bed with comfort control mattress. Its cozy window seat overlooks our gardens and the fabulous Monterey Bay. Couples traveling together will enjoy sharing the quaint common sitting area just "outside" of the guest room door.
The Brillig is made warm and charming with Craftsman-style decor, a beautiful rolled-oak queen select comfort bed, a private bath with shower and a handsome tiled fireplace. One of our finest Bay View rooms, the Brillig is decorated with hand-painted William Morris style wallpaper and has beautiful turn of the 19th century pocket doors to make up its private bath.
This cozy corner room is furnished with a queen-sized bed with comfort control mattress, lovely antique dresser. This, our smallest room, has grand views of both the Monterey Bay and our gardens. There is a private, spacious (just down the hall) bath exclusive to the Tulgey Wood.
Our newest addition, the Tumtum Tree is a quaint Craftsman styled cottage nestled amongst a grove of Monterey Cypresses and a Red Wood. Nearly surrounded by a redwood deck, the cottage boasts magnificent views of the Monterey Bay and our gardens. With separate sleeping room and living room, it can easily accommodate a family of four by using a surprisingly comfortable sofa sleeper.
Located on our very private third floor together with the Mimsy, this room is decorated in soft apricot, has a private bath and a lovely hand-carved queen-sized bed with comfort control mattress. Couples traveling together will enjoy sharing the quaint common sitting area just "outside" of the guest room door - pictured to the right.
