This is a delightful sanctuary outside the main street of Boone, NC. Even though it was raining most of my three days I loved staying there, meeting other guests, and sleeping in a wonderfully comfortable bed.Breakfast is outrageously yummy and changes every day. I would definitely come back.
My wife and I had a great weekend away. This was our second time at the LB and we still enjoyed it. We tried the Hummingbird room, because it was a bigger room, had a balcony and had a big bathroom. Only downside was it had two queen beds. So, when we tried sleeping in the same bed, it was pretty close quarters and at times, felt like we were going to fall out of the bed. This would be a great room for a ladies night away for separate sleeping arrangements. Next time we'll probably go for the Lost Creek (smaller bathroom, king bed, balcony). Other than that it was a nice relaxing weekend away. Beautiful lodge and great breakfast. Mark and Anne are super nice and very accommodating.
We were recently married and did not begin our honeymoon until several days later.. We wanted a special place to spend our wedding night and the Lazy Bear Lodge was just perfect. Our late arrival was wasn't a problem, the Garden View room was tastefully romantic and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the porch. We appreciated Anne's hospitality and enjoyed visiting with Bella and Bo! We would recommend the Lazy Bear Lodge and plan to visit again.
We picked the BEST place to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage behind the main house was quiet and private. Scott and Ann are the world's BEST innkeepers. They are both very personable. Scott has extensive knowledge of what to visit and where to eat in the area. Ann is a superb chef and her decorating skills are clearly visible throughout the B&B. We have Paul Lovill House Inn on the top of our list of places to recommend to friends staying in Boone or Blowing Rock.
The cheerful professionalism of the staff, uncompromised cleanliness of the accommodations, and breathtaking beauty and serenity of the grounds make Mast Farm Inn a must experience for anyone traveling in the Smokey Mountains area. The dining experience has a draw all its own for incredible cuisine second to none for freshness and flavor. We have so enjoyed relaxing with a glass of champagne on the front porch, exploring the grounds and visiting with the animals. Mast Farm Inn is part of our yearly MUST VISIT list. If you are planning a wedding or any gathering of family and friends you will not discover a more suitable location anywhere.
Had a wonderful stay at Lazy Bear Lodge for 1 night on July 10. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Anne and Mark are wonderful hosts. Especially loved the back deck and watching the sunset over the mountains! Breakfast was amazing. We will be back!!
We had full intentions of going to the Highland Games (which we eventually did) but we kept finding excuses to stay in our romantic getaway cottage, the Loom House. Just an idyllic setting with a charm unlike any other. Wonderful staff, great food.
We attended a wedding over the July 4th holiday and stayed at the Lazy Bear. The room and view were great. The inn was clean and cozy. We loved the two dogs Bo and Bela. Thank you for making our stay excellent.
Not only was this a beautiful bed and breakfast, the staff was so helpful and accomodating. We were randomly travelling through the area and had no idea exactly where we would end our day's journey and when I called The Mast Inn they were so easy to work with allowing us to stay in touch via cell phone. We arrived late but they were so gracious and friendly. And the food was divine.
Scott and Anne are the absolute best and most hospitable innkeepers in the world! The inn is always beautiful and well maintained! We stay here every year for our anniversary and can't think of any place or any other people we would rather spend that time with! We love the inn and the innkeepers! You won't find a better stay period!
It's been a few years since our last visit to the Lazy Bear Lodge, and everything was as perfect as before!! Perfect location, beautiful home, and lovely owners. Hope we can return for another wonderful stay.
We booked the Lost Creek Room for 2 nights. It faces the Mtns. and has a balcony where we could watch the birds, flying squirrels and even deer right outside our room. Our hosts thought of every detail, and breakfast outside on the porch was wonderful! They have two wonderful, gentle dogs, Bella and BoBo, and they were perfect greeters! It felt like it was our home away from home, and we will definitely go back.
It was another wonderful stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge. This place is at the top of our list of places to stay. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the couples massage is awesome! We love the scenery - inside and out. The room is comfortable and the hospitality here surpasses all of the B&B's we have stayed at. The breakfast is truly fresh and delicious. We have a hard time turning in our key to the room when we leave. We definitely plan on returning again!
My mom, my sister, and I recently stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge for a girls' weekend, and we had a wonderful time! The accommodations are beautiful and well-kept, the views are incredible, and Ann and Mark's hospitality is delightful! I have stayed in B&Bs all over the United States as well as Europe, and the Lazy Bear Lodge is definitely one of the very best! I spent the drive home figuring out how soon I could return!
We were given a get-away by our adult children to celebrate some June occasions. The Lazy Bear Lodge was a perfect destination in beautiful Valle Crucis. The lodge is in a beautiful setting, with gorgeous vegetation and friendly wild animals. The lodge itself is perfect in every way, decorated with great attention to detail. The hosts are gracious, and the two large friendly dogs make the lodge very homey. The breakfasts are delicious. There are many opportunities for recreation and shopping close by. This B & B is an ideal escape from the everyday routine. The fact that so many guests are repeat customers is evidence of the superb quality of the lodge package.
This was our first experience staying in a bed and breakfast. We stayed in the separate cottage behind the house and found the accommodations very comfortable, clean and cozy. The grounds are beautiful and the owners are very friendly and helpful! We would definitely choose to stay there again when visiting that area.
This was the first time my grandmother and I have ever been to a bed and breakfast. Scott and Ann were very friendly, resourceful and knowledgeable about Boone and surrounding areas. This B&B felt very homey and comfortable. The food is delicious. I plan to go back in the future for vacation. I can truly say that we were completely satisfied with this B&B.
My wife and I enjoyed two nights at the Lazy Bear Lodge. The owners were fantastic. Clean everything, meticulously maintained, awe inspiring views right from the back porch, comfortable bed, and appropriate decors. Breakfast was excellent, and used local, fresh foods which were fantastic. We have all intentions of making a return visit. Out of the B&B's we have stayed in over the last several years, this made #1 on our list.
I was fortunate to be able to stay at Lovill House for four days with my adult children. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of not only our rooms, but also of the common living areas and porches. Scott and Anne are gracious hosts and Anne fixed a fabulous breakfast each morning. I had previously stayed at Lovill House several times and this B&B continues to exceed my expectations. My wife and I stayed at Lovill House Inn for four wonderful fun filled days. The Inn was delightful in every respect. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the accommodations and breakfasts were outstanding. Scott and Anne, the innkeepers, were very kind and helpful. We would love to return to this B & B some day!
