My girlfriend and I spent a lovely July 4th weekend at Tranquility on Lake Travis. Upon our arrival at the B&B, we were met with hospitality and kindness from owner Nathan. He did a great job explaining the premises and gave a full outside tour. He even gave us recommendations on good restaurants and activities to do in the area. Nathan personally made breakfast in the morning which was very delicious. The place was very peaceful and tranquil as the name suggests and has a great view of Lake Travis. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to enjoy near Lake Travis.
This place absolutely exceeded my expectations. The grounds were beautiful, the room was amazing and comfortable, and the service was exceptional. Everything about this place was perfect. Would definitely stay again! Cant wait to return!
Tree Lodge was GREAT! Bruce couldn't have been more helpful, nice, and generous. He was a perfect host. We were lucky enough to meet him the day before our stay when he was nice enough to allow us to drop our stuff off and leave our car at his home. We stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast the night of our wedding, and his help made things so much easier for us. It also was the perfect romantic spot for our special nice. The lodge is beautiful and spacious with great art, a gorgeous view, a fantastic bed, coffee, a fridge, and everything else you could want. It is private and wonderful. Bruce also came out to wish us off as we left and was just delightful. Great deal, great stay.
The Inn is very clean, decorated well, and wonderful seating areas inside and outside. We had a great stay and will be back. It is a self serve continental breakfast but enough variety for us. Andre checked us in--he is such a nice and entertaining person.
Very comfortable beds. Only downside for me was rooms not as cool as I would like when we went to sleep but cooled better throughout the night. Wonderful breakfast and enjoyed watching tv at night in spacious living room, very comfortable. Too bad not available year round. Only place you would want to stay if visiting ut campus
This place is awesome. The bnb is in an great neighborhood and close to so much. Just walking into the bnb, I felt at home. I stayed here with a couple friend of mine and we loved our rooms. My room was next to the stairs, small but just the right fit for me. The house is very clean and cozy as well. This was my first time at a bnb and the only regret I hsve is that I didn't stay longer! Thank you Matt for such an awesome experience although I didn't get to meet you!:) the next time I am able to stay I definitely would like to utilize the beautiful kitchen.
We booked the Gothic Suite and once we arrived we found that it was a beautiful room, bath, and a parlor and balcony we did not expect with the room. A beautiful and peaceful oasis right among the heart of the city.
I had a conference in Austin to attend and decided to try the Megabus from Houston. I noticed Austin'sd Inn at Pearl Street was within walking distance and centrally located. I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did. I had a great room (The Gothic) with a cozy bed and balcony off the sitting area. I arrived a bit frazzled from the bus trip and walk, but Jill greeted me with such warmth and handed me a glass of wine...okay, now we are talking! She gave me a tour of the Inn. She even found a cord to fit my cell phone which I had left at home. The following day I was unable to stay for the evening. I needed to get home for work instead enjoy the day I was planning. I called Jill to tell her I would be storing my luggage and come back after the conference to hang out until it was time for the bus trip home. It is so peaceful and the grounds are really pretty. Andre, the other owner I am assuming, came over and visited with me while I hung out. It was like being in the home of old friends. Very, very pleasant experience. I am definitely going back. If you find yourself in Austin, treat yourself to a stay at Austin's Inn at Pearl Street!
The location is wonderful, just off I-35 and near entertainment and restaurants. My husband and I stayed overnight in The Loft, and found the accommodations welcoming and comfortable. The bed had a Tempurpedic topper, assuring a good night's sleep. Beware the stairs leading to the lofted bed, they are a bit narrow, but if you're able bodied, they shouldn't present a problem. The proprietor was attentive, but not intrusive, and she made us the most wonderful breakfast, served on our private little patio outside our room. My husband and I would most certainly consider staying here the next time we visit Austin.
First of all, this isn't formally a hotel, it is and was built to be an all-girls dorm serving mostly UT students. However, they open it up to the public during the summer, and I must say, it makes for a great hotel! Upon entering, I immediately felt like at home. It has a really nice living room area, dining table, kitchen, and the rooms are nicely and evenly distributed along the first and second floors. They keep the place very clean, and the ladies are really nice. The only issue I had was upon arrival. They have a really old credit card reader that neither of two ladies could make work. They had to note down my CC details and said they'd do it later. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay!!
It was a pretty cool bed and breakfast. The ladies in the front were very nice and the room we stayed in was clean and it felt like home. The breakfast was delicious because they had bacon! Overall a very safe and comfortable stay!
This was easily in the top five Inns we've ever visited. Gourmet breakfast and dinner, homemade cookies, free beverages in your room and the dining room, spacious and clean rooms, stunning grounds, interesting hiking trails, great spots to sit and relax, beautiful gardens, a wonderful spa, and on and on and on. We enjoyed two nights here and cannot wait for a chance to return!
I made reservations for two nights and was pleased with the room. It had a land line phone, a tv, and a desk in addition to a large bed and a private bathroom. It probably stated that on the website, but I was booking for the great location and was pleased that there was indeed a tv in the room. I liked the common areas of the house, the big comfy couches and the large dining table with views to a large tv. Breakfast was good ---- egg dish, a meat, breads, fruit, and juice. I loved that there was ice cream in the freezer for a late-night snack if I desired. I would definitely stay here again. The location is great. You can easily walk to the UT campus and don't have to worry about parking.
This is an outstanding facility and organization. The accommodations are second to none. Attention to detail and excellence is evident in every aspect of this bed and breakfast: friendliness, rooms, grounds, food, etc. The rooms are all unique. The breakfast is outstanding and the portions are huge! The staff ensures that you are comfortable and that all needs are addressed. The Blair House Inn sets the standard in the Wimberley area. You will not be disappointed in your visit.
We stayed 2 nights for our anniversary.Maurice's Coach House is a secluded stand alone building away from the Inn. It was perfect for us as it gave us privacy and quiet. Loved sitting on the porches reading and watching the birds and wildlife and the serene hill country views. The grounds are beautiful with every annemity you need available to you. I want to go back when it is folf so we can enjoy the fireplace.
Very appealing description, and everything as described. We stayed 4 nights while supporting/attending large family gathering and events -- great place to "recharge" each evening, and fabulous breakfasts to start each new day. Jasmine was in bloom, and it's beautiful scent greeted us at every arrival. Sunset was colorful, and the thunderstorm rolling in across the lake was impressive. Great variety of birds at the feeders, enjoyed the hummingbirds' courtship flights close at hand. Hammock was very restful, held 2 quite nicely. Cozy but functional work-out room. We're not pet people, but really have to say -- love that Jasper! Be sure to ask Nathan about the rock in the fireplace surround -- you'll know which one when you see it.
My daughter and her boyfriend had just finished a gruelling year as a kindergarten teacher and first year med student, respectively. We treated them, and us, to a 3 day stay at the inn. It was just what the doctor ordered!
