"My girlfriend and I spent a night recently at the Belle Isle Inn and just fell in love. I had never been to a bed and breakfast before and I think now I may be too spoiled to try anywhere else. From our arrival, which was late, we could tell just how serious Tia and Scott were about making our experience as personal as possible. Scott had assisted us in getting our bags upstairs, and Tia was quick to follow us up with an incredible bruscetta and a carafe of wine. being the only guests present, we were allowed to select either room and we stayed in the king room which was just a treasure. From the furniture to the art, all of it is truly top notch and selected with a great eye for atmosphere and style. The bed was comfortable, the fireplace warm, and the overall feel like being home. The next morning, we were treated to a breakfast that would shame a 5 star restaurant. I have worked in both the restaurant and hotel business, and have never been spoiled with such an elaborate breakfast. Wave after wave of food came to us each one more tasty than the last. Served in a beautiful dinning room that made us feel like we were a king and queen. Then as we finished our meal, we had a chance to visit with Tia and she is just such a delightful host that we had vowed to not only return, but to tell everyone about our wonderful stay. It is a rare occurrence when you can find a place with such a high level of comfort, value, and service such as this. I have paid twice as much for less than half of the experience we had in the Chicago area where we are from. We can not wait to return and enjoy yet another extraordinary experience at the Belle Isle. Thanks again to Tia and Scott from both of us, Chris and Kim"
