Our smallest, yet delightfully cozy, Hummingbird Room has two twins beds. Ideal for individuals traveling alone, a business traveler on a limited budget, or two people who enjoy traveling together but do not want to share a bed.Enjoy breakfast with fresh fruit, scones, and a hot breakfast entre  on the Portal overlooking the Sandia Mountains
The view of the Sandia Mountains from our patio/portal.  And you should see it change to a watermelon color at sunset.Enjoy a ballooning adventure with the Up Up and Away at the Chocolate Turtle!
Walking Trail along the Rio Grande in Corrales- the Bosque is great for birdwatching. The Roadrunner parents get bring their young to the back porch to feed them.
Majestic sunrises and sunsets in Corrales are just breathtaking .Columbines in many different shades are a welcome sign of spring!
Southwestern bench under the New Mexico Moon was taken by guest Jim Crotty, a professional photographer from Hilton Head, SC.Central New Mexico is a great destination for birders. More than 200 species can be found from the Rio Grande bosque to the tops of the Sandia Mountains. Hummingbirds, quails and hawks can be seen from the portal of the Turtle. Sandhill Cranes winter in the area.
This fragrant white lilac greets our guests as they enter our courtyard entrance. It always blooms early for it's nestled in the corner of an adobe wall. We know spring is coming when we start to see the fat green buds!!When Day Breaks in New Mexico was taken by one of our guests, Jim Crotty, a professional photographer from Hilton Head, SC.
Sandia Room shower with a built in bench and a river rock floor- feels like a foot massage when you are showering. Enjoy a cup of coffee or simply take in the breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains from your private patio off of the Sandia Room. An intimate garden shaded by a huge mimosa tree is a great place to relax.
The ever changing Sandia Mountains provide breathtaking views year round! Yes- that's snow on the mountain yet it's warm enough to play golf in Albuquerque.Enjoy the seasonal variety of plants and trees blooming in the yard.
Crunchy Stuffed French Toast- a favorite breakfast at the Chocolate Turtle Many Sandhill Cranes make a stop in Corrales as migrate, while others spend the winter here and in nearby Bosque del Apache.
