In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add pears and sprinkle sugar.Cook 5 min, increase heat and cook about 5 min. per side until browned.Remove from heat.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, fry the chopped onion about 2 min. add rice and stir. Season with salt. Add 3 cups of boiling water and the fresh cream. Adjust salt if necessary. When it starts to boil reduce heat to low, let the saucepan semi capped until the liquid absorbed. Remove from heat.
Add the caramelized pears, walnuts ( coarsely chopped) and Gorgonzola ( sliced).Mix all ingredients et voilá! A delicious side dish for your Turkey Dinner.
