1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup Unbleached Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dozen Italian Plums
1/4 teaspoon Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Cream together butter and sugar.
Add flour, baking powder, salt and eggs, beat well.
Spoon butter mixture into greased 9" springform pan. Place plums, skin side up, on top of batter. Sprinkle plums lightly with sugar and lemon juice.Sprinkle with cinnamon.Bake torte for 1 hour. Serve with whip cream or ice cream.
