Blueberry Scones: Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cup Flour

  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder

  • 2 tablespoons Sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 5 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (cold, cut into small dice)

  • 1/2 cup Milk

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • pinch Lemon Zest

  • pinch Orange Zest

  • 1/4 cup Frozen Blueberries

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Step 2:

Cut butter pieces into flour mixture using a pastry blender, two knives, or your hands. Add remaining ingredients and mix by hand until just incorporated; do not over mix the dough.

Step 3:

Roll out to a thickness of 1/3 inch and cut into 4 inch squares. Cut each square into 2 triangles.

Step 4:

Bake until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
