Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookie: Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup White Sugar

  • 1 cup Butter

  • 1 Egg

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  • 1 1/2 cups Flour

  • 1/3 cup Powdered baking cocoa

  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

  • 3 cups Old fashioned oatmeal

  • 6 oz Semisweet chocolate chips

  • 1/4 cup Pecans

Step 1:

We found this recipe on a Quaker Oats box long ago. Start by pre-heating oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2:

Mix white sugar, butter, egg, water and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Then mix flour, powdered baking cocoa, baking soda and salt in a separate mixing bowl.

Step 3:

Add flour mixture to bowl with sugar mixture and combine until well blended. To this dough add old fashioned oatmeal, semisweet chocolate chips and pecans, mix well.

Step 4:

Chill finished dough mix for one hour. Roll dough into balls (about 2 Tablespoons per ball) and place on no-stick cookie sheet.

Step 5:

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Be sure to have plenty of cold milk on hand when serving.
