Hawaiian French Toast: Breakfast-Brunch

Prep time:20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 Eggs Large

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup Evaporated Milk

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup Sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1/8 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla *see note

Step 1:

Use Hawaiian Egg Bread if available. Can use any good quality Egg bread available. Slice 3/4 inch slices and let air dry. Slightly stale bread makes better french toast.

Step 2:

Mix above ingrediants together very well. Repeat mixing each time between dipping bread. Ingredients tends to separatre.

Step 3:

I fry in corn oil with some bacon grease added for flavor. *Note: To have orange flavoring, add a Tablespoon of Orange Zest to mixture with vanilla.
