Pecan French Toast: Breakfast-Brunch

Ingredients:

  • loaf French Bread

  • 1 1/2 cups half and half

  • 1 1/2 cups Milk

  • 6 eggs

  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 cup Brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • 1 cup pecans

  • 1/2 cup butter

Step 1:

Cut French bread into 8 equal pieces and place them cut side up in a greased 8X 11 baking dish

Step 2:

Mix milk, 1/2 and 1/2, eggs, cinnimon, nutmeg and vanilla and pour over bread

Step 3:

Cover and refrigerate overnight

Step 4:

Mix topping ingredients, brown sugar, maple syrup, pecans, and melted butter and pour over french toast just before baking it in a 350 degree oven for 50 minutes.

Step 5:

Serve with maple syrup
