Irish Scones: Bread

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of Flour

  • 1 cup Sugar

  • 3 teaspoons Baking Powder

  • 2 Sticks of Margarine

  • 1 cup Raisins

  • 4 Eggs

  • 3 1/2 cups Milk

Step 1:

In a large bowl sift flour, sugar and baking powder - sift again with hands. Add margarine and mix with hands until like fine breadcrumbs. Add raisins.

Step 2:

In another bowl mix, eggs and milk - whisk together. Add egg mixture a little at a time until you reach a nice consistency not too wet and not too dry.

Step 3:

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Dust the cookie sheet with flour. Roll a little mixture in hands and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes. Makes about 28 scones.
