Apple Clafouti: Breakfast-Brunch

Prep time:15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup medium sliced apples (Fugi, Braeburn works best)

  • 1/4 stick real butter

  • 1 cup Bisquick Pancake Batter

  • 1/2 cup whole milk

  • 2 eggs (double Bisquick recomendation)

  • cinnamon (lots)

  • 2 capfuls real Vanilla extract

  • nutmeg (to taste)

  • 1/3 cup chopped nuts

  • 2 oz Peach Schnapps

Step 1:

Mix thinly sliced apples, cinnamon with sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, in stainless bowl and let marinate for 1 hour or more

Step 2:

In small bowl add Bisquick, eggs and milk blend, but do not over mix; Pam 10" Pyrex pie pan and 1/4 stick melt butter; swirl around to cover edges of pie pan; place nuts and apple mixture into pie pan; add pancake batter

Step 3:

Drink Peach Schnapps

Step 4:

Place in center of 350o F oven; Cook for approximately 30 minutes or until top starts to brown and returns when pushed with sterile finger. When done go around edges of pie pan with grapefruit knife and invert onto large platter

Step 5:

Serve with warm maple syrup. Serves 8 normal people
