This 1848 town house now offers 13 centrally-heated bedrooms. Holgate Bridge is within walking distance of the city’s main attractions: York Minster; the Castle Museum; York Races; the National Railway Museum; the Medieval city walls, the Jorvik Viking Centre and the Shambles. At the centre of Yorkshire, York is an ideal centre for visiting the county’s many attractions: Castle Howard (of Brideshead Revisited fame), Brontë country, James Herriot’s dales and moors and the rugged coast are all within an hour’s drive. In addition we offer free secure parking in our own large car park to the rear of the property. For the railway enthusiasts the Flying Scotsman goes by daily in season.       Rail Station|Train|0.5|Turn right out of York station amd follow the road to the traffic lights. Take a right turn then follow this road until your second right, marked the A59 (Harrogate turnoff). Follow this road for 400 yards and we are on your right. A1237 Ringroad|Road|2|On entering York, pick up the A1237 ringroad and follow towards the A59 Harrogate turn off. At the Harrogate roundabout, take the exit for York city centre. Follow this road heading in to York centre and just before you reach the railway bridge we are on your left.
